ONE of Sydney’s youngest trainers will have the chance to welcome a $1.9 million horse into his stable following a huge buy at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Richard Litt, will be sent a colt sired by Deep Impact from dam Honesty Prevails after the colt was bought by long-serving equine owner, former construction guru Ottavio Galletta.

The biggest purchase of the sales so far came on Thursday afternoon, becoming the sixth horse to be put under the hammer for $1 million or more.

It is the most expensive horse to be sold at the sales in recent years but doesn’t eclipse the record, set by Foxtrot Oscar who went for $2.2 million at the sales in 2008.

The horse never made it to the races and Galetta will be hoping to avoid the same fate with his newest acquisition.
