THE Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro could get under way this afternoon with officials to make a call on conditions when the tide drops at Snapper Rocks.
The contest has gone on hold for the second time today, with officials to make a call at 12.45pm for a possible 1pm contest start.
World Surf League commissioner Kieren Perrow put the contest on hold this morning, with little swell present during the high tide.

But a further call will be made at 11.30am, with the waves expected to stand up a little when the tide drops.
“The tide is really high at the moment, we’ve got a clean little swell ... which is really good for the bank here, just unfortunately the tide is super high in the morning,’’ Perrow said.
The 11.30am call was to go on hold until 12.45pm but with clean small waves at Snapper Rocks, the contest is likely to start this afternoon.
Competition could start with either the men’s Quiksilver Pro or women’s Roxy Pro.
“We’re hoping that with a lower tide it will be pretty fun out here,’’ Perrow said.
