Queensland netball star Gretel Bueta welcomed her first daughter on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old announced the exciting news on her Instagram with a caption saying “she’s here”.
In a video, the newborn was in the arms of her brother Bobby, surrounded by her father Niko and other brother Toby.
“Look, isn’t she beautiful?” a voice said in the video.
Toby was calling her “papa” but he was corrected by his father that she was his “sister”.
The baby is the third child of the former Queensland Firebirds player.
She received well wishes from many, including fellow netballers Donnell Wallam and Maddy Proud and former Diamonds captain Kimberley Ravaillion praising the “gorgeous” girl.
The star player married her long-term boyfriend in 2020 and gave birth to their first child a year later.
Ms Bueta was widely regarded as the best goal attack in the world following her more than 10-year career.
