Penrith, Wildfires win big in NSW junior state rugby battles for Sydney Cup, NSW Country crown
A Sydney club and another from county dominated the battles for the NSW Country and Sydney Cups at the state junior rugby championships. Stars, standouts, every winner and result wrap.

There was sun in Sydney and icy cold temperature - including snow - at other venues - but players were on fire in the battle for the Sydney Cup and NSW Country crowns at the junior rugby state championships.
Penrith and Hunter will return home from their June long weekend tournaments with multiple trophies to their clubs name after big performance in the battles for the Sydney Cup and NSW championships.
Penrith kicked things off with a win in the U13 boys tournament and then bvacked up with two victories in the under 14s and under 16s girls events.
Hunter was also a standout in the U13s division, taking the Country crown with a win over Central West.
The Hunters players then secured the NSW Country crown in the boys under15s with a win over Central West, the under 16s with their victory over Illawarra and the U18’s with their defeat of MNC.

Dallas Bellass scored two tries for Penrith in an impressive display with Jensen Brown converting both.

Under 14 Sydney Cup girls winners Penrith beat Manly Wests 7-5
Alliyah Hukui scored every one of Penrith points in a standout display.
Under 14 NSW Country girls winners Illawarra beat Wildfires 40-12
Rora Te Ra Chase nailed five conversions in this match and also scored a try with Malia Meafou another stand out with two tries.

Hosea Leolahi, Ben Kennedy and Sebastian Duddle scored the tries for Eastwood in this thriller with Henry Denahy converting two
Under 14 NSW Country boys winners Hunter beat Central West 19-5.
Samuel Burey, Oliver Ramiro and Flynn Rimanoczy scored the tries with Jack Badel converting two
Under 15 Sydney Cup boys winners Gordon beat Norths 17-7
Le-Vaughn Stanley-ligaiviu, Lewis Leeds and Bronson Tupou went over for Gordon with Billy Bowen converting one
Under 15 NSW Country boys winners Hunter beat Central West 36-10
Nate Jury was a three try hero in this game dominated by Hunter.
Levi Gibbes scored two tries and Angus Jackson made three conversions.
U16 Sydney Cup boys winners Warringah beat Gordon 14-7
Wilson Ruthven, whose father coaches the NSW Waratahs Women, was a standout in this match with a try and two conversions.
Under 16 NSW Country boys winners Wildfires beat Illawarra 17-10
In this match Noah Vaotangi scored both of Illawarra‘s two tries with Asher Chapman converting both and also kicking a penalty.
Under 16 Sydney Cup girls winners Penrith beat Manly West 17–7.
Liannah Amete scored a try and kicked a conversion in Penrith’s win with Amilia Masic and Larissa Daniels-Maifea also scoring tries.
Under 16 NSW Country girls winners Central Coast beat Wildfires 5–3
Taliah Fogarty scored the only try in the Central Coast win over the Wildfires for the U16 country crown.
Under 18 Sydney Cup boys winners Randwick beat West Harbour 17–10.
Marat Nahas was a standout with the boot in Randwick’s win with two conversions and a penalty kick.
Andre Posesione and Cooper Lewis James Taylor scored Randwick’s tries.
Under 18 NSW Country boys winners Wildfires beat MNC 14–0
Brody Dudgeon and Fraser Cameron scored the tries for Wildfires with Cody Field kicking two conversions
Under 18 Sydney Cup girls winners Sydney Uni beat Manly Mermaids 8–5.
Lei Silvia Betty Tanaki scored the only try of the match which was converted by Tenaria George
Under 18 NSW Country girls winners Central North Rugby beat Central West 20–0.
Bonnii Porter scored two tries and Emily Dietrich kicked a conversion and a penalty in Central North’s big win.
