Olympic teams are expected to romp their way through more than 200,000 condoms when they arrive in Paris.
The elite athletes will be getting 20 johnnies each in the city of love’s Olympic village by Durex - 33 per cent more than at London 2012.
The condom firm gives its product out to promote safe sex.
In Paris, more than 200,000 male condoms, 20,000 female condoms and 10,000 “dental dams” for oral sex will be handed out.
STD clinics will also be on site.
At Seoul 1998, just 8,500 condoms were available, while Sydney 2000 had to order 20,000 more after the initial 70,000 ran out.
Athletes have previously revealed the “Las Vegas atmosphere” of past sports event villages at the Olympics.
USA water polo captain Tony Azevedo said: “It’s like the first day of college. You’re nervous, super excited. Everyone’s meeting people and trying to hook up with someone.”
USA women’s football goalie Hope Solo said: “There’s a lot of sex going on. I’ve seen people having sex right out in the open.
“On the grass, between buildings, people getting down and dirty.”
Asked about romps in the Olympic village, 1980s Brit athletics champ Daley Thompson, now 65, told the Sunday Times yesterday: “I think there’s a lot going on, or at least there used to be.
“It’s one of those hormone filled places, isn’t it? Everybody there is in the greatest shape of their life.”
