KEEBRA Park and Coombabah State High School will meet on the field for the first time this season, with a place in the Year 10 Walters Cup grand final on the line.
Keebra Park, led by Brisbane Broncos-contracted second-rower Jett Bryce and forward running mate Wailer Whaiapu, have lost just one match this season, to Ipswich State High.

Bryce was the secret to his team’s success in the semi-final that was livestreamed by the Gold Coast Bulletin. He will be a key factor again in the clash against Coombabah State High School.
“We’ve really gelled as a team over the last few games,” Bryce said.
“We’ve improved our game a lot and have been training hard.
“We’ve talked a lot about this potentially being the last game of the season (if Keebra lose) but we’re all cool, calm and ready to play.”
Bryce is aware of some of the threats posed by Coombabah, chiefly fullback Lewis Simons, a teammate of his in the Broncos’ development system.
“They are a bit of an unknown package but they have some good players,” he said.
“Their prop Tom Summer goes all right, and Lewis.”
