PANTHERS 23 DEF. COWBOYS 23

Panthers studs: In a masterclass Jamie Soward (109) scored two tries, set-up another two made two line breaks and made 18 kicks in play which totalled 485 metres, Utility Jeremy Latimore (69) had a solid impact coming off the bench, he made 29 tackles, had 13 hit-ups and scored a try.

Panthers duds: Backrower Sika Manu (28) made 17 tackles and had seven hit-ups earning 63 metres. Debutant Ben Murdoch-Masila (15) made 12 tackles and his two runs made 21 metres.

Cowboys studs: Matt Scott (77) churned out 171 metres from 18 runs and made 38 tackles. Gavin Cooper (77) made 33 tackles, one offload and his 12 hit-up made 10. Copper also set-up Glenn Hall to score.

Cowboys duds: Matthew Wright (6) was sin binned for a professional foul on Jamie Soward. Sam Hoare (14) made nine tackles and had 3 runs worth 27 metres to his name.

SEA EAGLES 15 DEF TITANS 12

Sea Eagles Studs: In a low-scoring contest, Daly Cherry-Evans (97) was the clear attacking standout, with a try assist, two linebreaks, four offloads, and that left-footed field goal. DCE’s halves partner Kieran Foran (79) also contributed with a try, a try assist, a linebreak, and a linebreak assist, and Anthony Watmough (80) got through plenty of work.

Sea Eagles Duds: In a pretty even performance across the board, no one really had a stinker, although Peta Hiku (40), Cheyse Blair (20) and Josh Starling (32) had lower than normal returns.

Titans Studs: James Roberts has made a huge impression since getting his first start for the Titans and his sheer speed and power caused Manly plenty of headaches as he racked up a game-high 104 SuperCoach points with a try, a linebreak, a linebreak assist, and a whopping 10 tackle busts. Mark Minichiello (54) was the only other Titans player to break the half century.

Titans Duds: Nate Myles (27), Beau Falloon (32), and Aidan Sezer (36) all struggled to make an impact in a game that was fairly thin on highlights.

KNIGHTS 28 DEF. WARRIORS 22

Knights Studs: Plenty of big performers for Newcastle but Joey Leilua (105), with a try, two assists, a linebreak, two offloads and six busted tackles, and hat-trick hero Sione Mata’utia (103), with another six busted tackles and 153 metres from 13 runs, were the top men.

Knights Duds: Robbie Rochow (26) got just 19 tackles and 43 metres from six runs.

Warriors Studs: The Beast Manu Vatuvei (73) was best for the Kiwis, with two tries, two busted tackles and 135 metres from 16 runs. Shaun Johnson (70) did his bit with two offloads, four busted tackles and 206 metres from seven kicks.

Warriors Duds: Chad Townsend (8) had a bad afternoon out - just 18 metres from four runs and 11 tackles.

ROOSTERS 48 DEF. TIGERS 4

Roosters Studs: Mitchell Pearce (108) was an architect on Saturday night. He made two line breaks and set up two tries. Shaun Kenny-Dowall (103) was one fire. The centre scored one try and made two line breaks and broke six tackles.

Roosters Duds: Heath L’Estrange (13) was injured early on while Kane Evans (19) was limited with 62 metres from five runs.

Tigers Studs: Mitchell Moses (52) was exciting in the halves. He set up a try and broke two tackles. Blake Austin (46) broke two tackles, Sauaso Sue (46) broke three and made 29 tackles.

Tigers Duds: Kurtis Rowe (15) broke three tackles at fullback, while Cory Paterson (21) made 85 metres playing om the wing.

Injuries: Heath L’Estrange (ACL - season)

STORM 48 DEF. SHARKS 6

Storm Studs: Jesse Bromwich (120) is one of the form forwards of the competition. On top of scoring a try he made 20 tackles, five offloads and churned out 186 metres from 19 runs. Centre Will Chambers (83) scored a try, made three tackle busts, two line breaks and earned 129 metres from 14 runs.

Storm Duds: Origin halfback Cooper Cronk (23) had one line break and 18 possessions to his name. Utility Junior Moors (16) made seven tackles and had six runs.

Sharks Studs: Captain Paul Gallen (77) made his return from injury to make 33 tackles, three offloads and 184 metre from 23 hit-ups. Fellow forward Matt Prior (50) made 32 tackles, one offload and his 10 hit-ups made 90 metres.

Sharks Duds: Jeff Robson (3) has ineffective at halfback with 13 possessions and seven kicks in play which totalled 153 metres. Blake Ayshford (10) came off the bench to make 9 tackles and two runs.

DRAGONS 34 DEF. RAIDERS 16

Raiders Studs: Second rower Josh Papalii (79) was at times a handful for the Dragons defence as he charged forward. He crashed over for a try, made 21 tackles and had one offload. Anthony Milford (66) provided some much needed creativity in attack. He set-up two tries, made a linebreak and made seven kicks in play which totalled 175 metres.

Raiders Duds: Young halfback Mitch Cornish (5) made seven tackles and ran the ball once in the limited game time he had. Starting prop Brett White (15) had six hit-ups and made seven tackles.

Dragons Studs: Brett Morris (119) capped off a hat-trick with a brilliant Superman like effort. On top of his three tries he made eight tackle busts and three linebreaks. Fellow winger Jason Nightingale (91) scored two tries, made two linebreaks and two tackle busts.

Dragons Duds: Gerard Beale (13) had a quiet game at fullback making nine runs for 74 metres. Kyle Stanley (14) made 12 tackles and one hit-up.

BULLDOGS 18 DEF. EELS 16

Eels Studs: It’s all about transport for the Eels. The Semi Trailer was Parra’s high roller of the night — Radradra (92) scored two tries, plus two linebreaks, three busted tackles and 134 metres from 16 runs. And for the first time in weeks, the Hayne Plane (85) didn’t get into triple figures, despite scoring a try and an assist, four busted tackles and a mighty 195 metres from 21 runs.

Eels Duds: Vai Toutai (18) found it tough on the wing, making just 90 metres from 10 runs and two tackles.

Bulldogs Studs: Would you have picked Aiden Tolman (105) as the big scorers of the night? If you did, a try, 186 metres from 24 runs and a mighty 37 tackles got the goodies. Tim Lafai (85) wasn’t bad either, with two assists, 72 metres from 10 runs, two offloads and two busted tackles.

Bulldogs Duds: Corey Thompson (19) got 67 metres from seven runs and just four tackles.

Injuries: David Gower (knee); Josh Jackson (concussion)

RABBITOHS 42 DEF. BRONCOS 16

Rabbitohs Studs: Greg Inglis (112) was unstoppable. Not only did the freakish fullback finish with a hat trick but he also set up a try and mae 149 metres off 15 runs. Adam Reynolds (95) set up three tries and broke three tackles.

Rabbitohs Duds: Joe Picker (7) had only one touch for 8 metres and made seven tackles. Jason Clark (15) had six runs for 41 metres and made nine tackles.

Broncos Studs: Corey Parker (103) was at his damaging best. He broke two tackles, set up a try and made 139 metres off 16 runs. Josh McGuire (76) made 152 metres from 17 runs and broke three tackles.

Broncos Duds: Corey Oates (11) made 25 metres from two uses of the ball and made five tackles. Ben Barba (14) made 12 tackles and broke one tackle in a quiet night.

Injuries: Chris McQueen — on report for crusher tackle, Josh Hoffman (broken fibula)
