Eels' rookie Dylan Brown answers the big SuperCoach questions

Wacko has his ear to the ground like no other when it comes to gun youngsters coming through in rugby league.

Here are the low-ownership, left-field rookies to keep an eye on.

Patrick Herbert – NRL player in waiting, just needs opportunity to prove how good he is.

Wacko has the best mail in the business.
Wacko has the best mail in the business.

Was very impressive in the trial versus Storm playing multiple positions.

Dragons fans were disappointed to lose him but he’s gone back home and I expect he will make his NRL debut at some stage during the season (as long as he is on a development contract).

Ethan Parry – Spent the whole pre-season training on the right wing due to Blake Ferguson being in the rehab group.

Likely to be promoted to a development contract and eligible to play first grade after June 30.

Morgan Harper – Expected to make his NRL debut at some stage during the season.

A member of the Bulldogs ISP grand final winning team in 2018.

Has already been promoted to the top 30-man squad this pre-season. A right centre who is highly-rated at Dogs and is still very young at 20.

Sign up to NRL SuperCoach 2019.

Tevita Funa – Goal kicking utility outside back who can play fullback or left centre/wing.

Was a member of the Sea Eagles top 30-man squad in 2018 despite being eligible for Jersey Flegg.

With the Sea Eagles’ lack of depth in the outside backs, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him debut in 2019.
