Even with the Las Vegas season start done and won, it’s not too late to join NRL SuperCoach. In fact, you can STILL pick a very strong team in just a few minutes.

While the Vegas teams are now locked out, there is some incredible talent on offer in the remaining 13 sides yet to play round one, which is completed this coming weekend.

This is the perfect guide for people who want to join Australia’s favourite fantasy sports game but don’t have time to spend hours on research.

1. REGISTER

Go to supercoach.com.au. It’s as easy as ticking a few boxes and filling in some details including a team name (funnier the better).

2. PICK YOUR TEAM

Start with some cheapies. These are the most important players in any SuperCoach side as they start at bottom dollar and make money for your team. You’ll want about 10 cheapies in your side in a variety of positions, but especially at CTW given they are typically among the biggest money makers. The best cheapie prospects are:

- Bronson Xerri

- Viliami Fifita

- Kaeo Weekes

- Brendan Hands

- Jack Bostock

- Jaeman Salmon

- Drew Hutchison

3. PICK YOUR GUNS

These are generally the most expensive players in each position. You’ll hold most of these players for the entire season, so choose carefully. You can fit approx 8-10 under the salary cap.

- Harry Grant

- Tino Fa’asuamaleaui

- Dylan Brown

4. PICK YOUR MID-RANGERS

By now you should have approx 18-20 guns and cheapies in your side. Fill the remaining slots with mid-rangers. The most popular players in this category are:

- Shaun Lane

- Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

- Taylan May

- Josh Curran

- Bronson Xerri

- Reuben Cotter

- Ryan Papenhuyzen

- Thomas Flegler

- Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow

5. FINALISE YOUR SIDE

Pick a starting team of 13 and four reserves from your 25 players. Ideally you want to start as many guns and mid-rangers as possible. Only the scores of these 17 players count for each round (although it’s important most of your eight non-players still take the field so they go up in price, even though their scores don’t count to your points total).

6. PICK A CAPTAIN

He earns double points – and a vice-captain as back-up.

7. TRADE AWAY

Use your 46 trades to build your side into a SuperCoach powerhouse throughout the season.
