SuperCoach NRL scores and analysis from Dragons v Dolphins, Panthers v Cowboys & Roosters v Tigers

A host of stars scored big as the Roosters tore the Tigers apart, while some players face a stint on the sidelines through injury or suspension. See all the winners and losers from a Sunday triple header.

Cleary refuses to blame missing Origin stars

The Roosters have continued their rise up the ladder with a third straight win to solidify their spot in the top-four, the Cowboys survived a double sin binning to upset the reigning premiers, while the Dragons have leapfrogged several rivals to get into the top-eight for the first time since Round 1 after upsetting the Dolphins.

And while many SuperCoaches will be pleased by some big scores, many have also suffered a massive blow, with one of the most owned players in the game suffering a potentially devastating injury.

See who made our Winners and Losers list from a massive Sunday triple header.

SUPERCOACH WINNERS

1. James Tedesco (126 points) – A popular captaincy option this week, James Tedesco tore his former team apart, scoring 126 points (252 if you threw the orange armband on him) thanks to a try, two try assists, a try contribution, 9 tackle breaks, two line breaks and two line break assists. A stunning stat sheet for the equal highest score of the day before countbacks.

2. Dominic Young (126 points) – Tied with Tedesco for the highest score of the day, Young was on a whopping 70 points after just 20 minutes courtesy of an early double, but didn’t slack off after that, notching up a try assist, linebreak, a line break assist and another 6 tackle breaks in the remaining 60 minutes.

3. Daniel Tupou (96 points) – Unlike Young, Tupou had a bit of a quieter first half, before really exploding late in the game on the back of two tries. A bit of a POD, but with a three-round average of 64 he could come be in for a bump in ownership in the coming weeks.

4. Connor Watson (91 points) – Another POD who went big today, backing up from State of Origin and forced to fill in at centre after the injury to Joseph Manu, Watson

5. Jack de Belin (90 points) – A popular buy in recent weeks, Jack de Belin rewarded the 8.6% of SuperCoaches who own him with 90 points, on the back of a try.

6. Tyrell Sloan (89 points) – Pre-game Ben Hunt called on Sloan to have a big game for the Dragons to win, and boy did he do that, scoring a try and setting up another to help guide his team to victory.

7. Jaydn Su’A (86 points) – Forced to move to centre after an injury to Mat Feagai, but that didn’t slow him down, cracking 86 points without scoring a try, thanks to a try assist, 17 tackles, and a whopping 37 points for hit ups.

8. Raymond Faitala-Mariner (85 points) – Forced out of the Bulldogs, RFM has found a new lease on life at the Dragons, having seemingly overcome his injury woes. Ended up on 85 points thanks to a try, a line break and a whopping 56 points in base.

9. Terrell May (73 points) – One of the most owned players in the game, May rewarded the almost 30% of SuperCoaches who own him with another monster performance thanks to a try, a linebreak and 40 points in base.

10. Liam Henry (68 points) – The popular former cheapie may not have set the world on fire with just 68 points, but what is impressive is that it was all in pure base stats! Brought into the starting side in the absence of Liam Martin, Henry has proved all he needs is big minutes to be an absolute SuperCoach weapon.

SUPERCOACH LOSERS

1. Joseph Manu – Sadly the biggest loser today, after being forced from the field in the first half with a suspected fractured hand and could be looking at a stint on the sidelines. Amassive blow to the over 33% of SuperCoaches who own him. Finished on just 25 points after the injury.

2. Apisai Koroisau (24 points) – One of the most owned hookers in the game at 27% ownership, Koroisau could be looking at a possible suspension, after being sin-binned for a dangerous throw on David Klemmer.

3. Jeremy Marshall-King (17 points) – Looking at a possible stint on the sidelines after being forced from the field in the first half with an ankle injury, before being forced to put on a moon boot and walk on crutches. Finished on just 17 points.

4. Adam Doueihi (39 points) – After an impressive return from injury last week, Doueihi came crashing back this week and like his skipper Api Koroisau could be in for a stint on the sidelines after being sin binned and put on report for a supposed ‘hip-drop’ tackle.

5. Isaiya Katoa (18 points) – While not super SuperCoach relevant, the Dolphins half had a stinker against the Dragons, finishing the game on just 18 points, due mostly to having 3 missed tackles (-3 points), an error (-2 points) and two kicks going dead (-6 points). Ouch.

6. Mathew Feagai (20 points) – Forced from the field with a shoulder injury while trying to score a try, Feagai failed to return to the field and could be out for a few weeks. Finished the game on 22 points.

7. Mitch Kenny (29 points) – One of the few waiver options at hooker in Draft this week, Kenny would have disappointed anyone who was forced to pick him up, finishing with just 29 points.

8. Jamayne Isaako (49 points) – While not the worst score, he was the fifth most purchased player of he week, so SuperCoaches who brought him in this week would be pretty disappointed given the hefty price tag.

9. Samuela Fainu (40 points) – A popular purchase in recent weeks after finally locking down a starting spot at the Tigers, he failed to live up to his 5RA of 63.6, ending on 40 points. Again not the worst score, but still disappointing.

10. Herbie Farnworth (41 points) – Not the worst score for the Englishman, but after averaging 77.2 in the last five games, SuperCoaches who own him would be disappointed.

RELIVE OUR LIVE COVERAGE OF THE TIGERS VS RAIDERS CLASH BELOW

FULL TIME: ROOSTERS 40-6 TIGERS

Eyeing three-straight wins for the first time in over 5 years, the Tigers came into this match with a lot of confidence. But things quickly fell apart, as the Roosters pushed through some early pressure, to begin an eight try onslaught. This included a stunning three tries in eight minutes that shot the Tigers to pieces.

Dominic Young was on fire early, scoring a double within the first 20 minutes, while the second half was all about James Tedesco, who tore his former team apart.

The Tigers scored a late consolation try in the 80th minute, in the only real positive for them in the entire game.

The win has come at a potentially massive cost for the Roosters, with Joey Manu facing a stint on the sideline after club doctors confirmed he has suffered a suspected fractured hand.

And to put more salt in the Tigers’ wounds, Api Koroisau and Adam Doueihi could be facing suspensions for a dangerous throw and a hip-drop tackle respectively.

69TH MINUTE: WHAT IS GOING ON

Not even two minutes later after Radley crossed over, they have cracked up 40-points, with Daniel Tupou scoring his second of the night after a brilliant cross-field kick from Luke Keary. The Roosters made a charge up the after an unsuccessful bat back from the Tigers after James Tedesco put Jahream Bula under pressure, which ended up in the hands of Angus Crichton. Crichton then got the ball out to Connor Watson who went close, before offloading to Terrell May who went close again. With the Tigers scrambling and bunched on the right side of the field, the Roosters quickly spread left before Keary kicked to an unmarked Tupou to score.

68TH MINUTE: LOOK AWAY TIGERS FANS

The Roosters have extended their lead to a whopping 36-0, after Sam Walker and Dominic Young combined to put Victor Radley over for a try. Just minutes after Api Koroisau got back onto the field from his sin bin, the Tigers were torn apart again

64TH MINUTE: ROOSTERS IN AGAIN AS ANOTHER TIGER BINNED

And just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse from the Tigers, they are down to 11 men on the field, with Adam Doueihi joining Api Koroisau in the sin bin, after a possible hip-drop tackle on Dominic Young (although the Referee refused to call it a hip-drop, instead ruling it a ‘dangerous tackle with moderate risk of injury”).

And the Roosters punished the Tigers almost immediately, with skipper James Tedesco barging over to get his first try of the night.

Meanwhile John Bateman has been put on report for a high shot on Angus Crichton.

chaos.

55TH MINUTE: TENSIONS RISING AS API BINNED

Apisai Koroisau has been sent to the sin bin, for an ugly lifting tackle on Lindsay Collins, which could see him looking at a possible suspension.

Things are starting to get tense out here, with a frustrated David Klemmer causing some

49TH MINUTE: RUTHLESS ROOSTERS CONTINUE DOMINATION

The Chooks have kept up their scoring in the second half, with an absolutely perfect bat on from James Tedesco setting up Daniel Tupou in the corner. The rain hasn’t stopped so far, and neither has the Roosters domination. The try sees Teddy move up to No.2 on the SuperCoach scoring for the game with 78, while Daniel Tupou jumps up to No.3 for now on 72.

The Roosters have provided another update on Joey Manu, with club doctors now very confident he has a fractured hand.

41ST MINUTE: SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

And we’re back at Allianz Stadium. The Roosters dominated in the first half, but the Tigers will be hoping for a second half comeback here. Can they produce a miracle? Or will the Roosters stay on top?

HALF-TIME: ROOSTERS 20-0 TIGERS

The Tigers started strong, forcing some early pressure, but things quickly fell apart from them in the rain, with the Roosters scoring four first half tries to take control of this game. Three tries in eight minutes tore the Tigers apart, whose body language quickly dropped … and if things don’t change it could be an ugly scoreline at full-time.

In a massive blow for SuperCoaches, Joseph Manu looks set for a stint on the sidelines after suffering a suspected fractured wrist. He has been ruled out of the game, finishing on just 25 SuperCoach points.

Top 5 performers

1. Dominic Young – 91 points

2. Connor Watson – 65 points

3. Terrell May – 60 points

4. James Tedesco – 54 points

5. Lachlan Galvin – 38 points

39TH MINUTE – MANU INJURY CONFIRMED

In disastrous news for SuperCoaches, Joey Manu’s night is officially over, with Roosters doctors confirming a suspected fractured wrist/hand. The star centre will need to be sent for scans to determine the full extent of the injury, but a stint on the sidelines seems likely. A massive blow to the whopping 33.3% of SuperCoaches who own him.

34TH MINUTE – CHOOKS DOMINATION CONTINUES

The Roosters are in again, this time with five-eight Luke Keary scoring off the back of his own kick. Does he get the try assist to himself here? Not sure how the statisticians will chalk that one up.

Keary put the bomb up and it was left by the Tigers, before fill in centre Sitili Tupouniua came up with an slight kick to put it in the in goal for Keary to jump on. In instances like this the try assist is usually to the initial kicker, but for now it has been given to Tupouniua.

Dominic Young remains atop the SuperCoach scoring on 90, while Terrell May and Connor Watson are tied on 60 points each. James Tedesco is on 53, while Keary is on just 33 despite scoring the try.

30TH MINUTE – ROOSTERS INJURY BLOW

The Chooks may have suffered an injury here, with Joseph Manu forced from the field with a suspected finger/hand injury after a fend on Tigers star Adam Doueihi. It looked like a possible dislocation but hard to say at the moment. Fingers crossed he is all good (pun not intended). With Manu gone it looks like Connor Watson has shifted to centre.

21ST MINUTE – UH OH

Things could get ugly for the Tigers here at Allianz, with the Roosters crossing for their third try in under 10 minutes, with rising front row star Terrell May running over the top of Aidan Sezer and Jahream Bula to score. The rain doesn't seemed to have affected the Roosters at all, with a flurry of quick tries.

18TH MINUTE – DOM DOUBLE

And when it rains it pours I guess … despite the wet weather, the Roosters attack is flying right now, with Dominic Young getting his second try of the night. A brilliant pass from Sam Walker put James Tedesco into space, before the halfback overran his fullback. But the damage was done, with the Tigers defensive line failing to properly reset, as Walker throw a harbour bridge pass on the next play to put Young over in the corner again.

Unsurprisingly, Young is atop the SuperCoach scoring so far, on a whopping 74 POINTS in the first 20 minutes. Tedesco is next on 43 points, while Connor Watson is on 33.

15TH MINUTE – CHOOKS GET ON THE BOARD

Denied earlier through Daniel Tupou, the Roosters wouldn’t be denied again on the other edge, with Dominic Young scoring in the corner. The Tigers threatened early, but the Roosters have weathered the storm and have wrestled back momentum in this game.

11TH MINUTE – ROOSTERS DENIED

The Roosters have survived some early pressure from the Wests Tigers, and looked to have opened the scoring through Daniel Tupou, but a closer inspection from the bunker revealed an obstruction from Angus Crichton.

8TH MINUTE – SCRAPPY START

The Tigers have been on top of the arm wrestle early in this game, but have been unable to convert it into points so far.

The Tigers had an early win, with a successful captain’s challenge after the ref made an incorrect off-side call, while Jared Waerea-Hargreaves gave a penalty away for a crusher tackle to give Wests good field position. But when they got close to the Roosters line, everything seemed to fall apart, with the Tigers losing their way on the last tackle.

KICK-OFF

And we’re underway at Allianz Stadium, with the Tigers kicking off to the Roosters. The Tigers have been impressive in recent weeks but I’m expecting the Roosters to come out firing and put on a bit of a score if the weather allows … that being said intermittent rain is expected throughout the contest so maybe the Wests’ forward pack steps up.

LATE MAIL IN FOR ROOSTERS V TIGERS

The final teams are in for the third game of our Sunday triple header, with both the Roosters and Tigers unchanged an hour before kick-off.

The only change came 24-hours before the game, with John Bateman confirmed to make his return from injury, coming onto the bench in place of Heath Mason.

All the Roosters’ Origin players have been cleared to back up.

FULL TIME: PANTHERS 6-16

The Cowboys’ defence has been up and down so far this season, but the North Queensland side has stood up against the reigning premiers today, jumping back into the top eight after getting the job done without their Origin stars.

The Cowboys have now won five of their last six games as they continue their climb back up the ladder.

Points proved hard to come by in a wet afternoon in Penrith, with just four tries between both sides, with the Cowboys getting across early twice despite being down on troops with Scott Drinkwater and Jaxson Purdue sent to the sin bin, with the Panthers attack struggling without their big name stars.

We had just one try in the second half, with Purdue crossing for his first try in the NRL after an impressive run from Scott Drinkwater.

It wasn’t a crazy afternoon in terms of SuperCoach points, with Braidon Burns leading the scoring with 71 points, while popular star Liam Henry finished up with a 68 points after making a whopping 49 tackles.

Scott Drinkwater has been a popular sell in recent weeks, his former owners have been vindicated after he finished on just 43 points courtesy of a first half sin bin.

TOP SUPERCOACH SCORERS:

1. Braidon Burns – 71 points

2. Liam Henry – 68 points

3. James Fisher-Harris – 66 points

4. Brad Schnieder – 66 points

5. Heilum Luki – 64 points

6. Jaxson Purdue – 60 points

7. Sam McIntyre – 59 points

8. Daine Laurie – 58 points

9. Kyle Feldt – 58 pints

10. Isaah Yeo – 55 points

69TH MINUTE – COWBOY CLEARED

In a boost for the Cowboys, Heilum Luki has remarkably passed his HIA after the head knock was somehow deemed a category two. Commentator Warren Smith was taken aback by the news, adamant his game should have been over after the head knock.

62ND MINUTE – BINNED STAR HITS BACK

He was sin binned late in the first half after an ugly trip, but Jaxson Purdue has hit back to extend the Cowboys lead. A near length of the field break from Scott Drinkwater after another poor kick from Brad Schnieder, before being chased down by Casey McLean. But the damage was already done, with the Panthers line failing to recover, before Purdue threw a cheeky dummy to get his first try in the NRL.

Time is starting to run out for the premiers to comeback here, with just over 10 minutes remaining now.

60TH MINUTE – COWBOYS STAR GOES DOWN

The Cowboys have suffered a blow with Heilum Luki forced off the field for a HIA after falling to the ground without bracing himself after a nasty head knock in an attempted tackle. Given how he went down you’d have to assume his night is over.

57TH MINUTE – GRIND CONTINUES

It may be wet in Penrith, but the points have really dried up, as the scores remain unchanged from the halftime break, with just over 20 minutes to go. The Panthers had an opportunity to get their second try of the game after a break from Daine Laurie, but Sunia Turuva was caught out of position, before Brad Schneider came up with a poor kick.

Schneider remains atop the SuperCoach scoring on 66, with Braidon Burns on 63, and Heilum Luki on 52.

48TH MINUTE: RAIN PICKING UP

The conditions are refusing to ease up in Penrith so completion rates could really be a factor here, with Kyle Feldt knocking the ball on to give the Panthers good field position. The Cowboys are back to 13 men on the field, with Jaxson Purdue back after his sin bin.

41ST MINUTE: SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

And we’re back for the second half here in Penrith. The Panthers still have a few minutes remaining until the Cowboys are back at full strength, can they strike early here?

HALF-TIME: PANTHERS 6-12 COWBOYS

Despite both sides missing most of their Origin stars, we have a game on our hands here, with the Cowboys ahead at half time, despite having two players sent to the sin bin in the first half. With the rain starting to come down an hour before kick-off, the Panthers started this game in disastrous fashion, kicking the ball out on the full after it was picked up by the wind. The Cowboys quickly went on the assault, denied two tries early before getting across in the 10th minute to score. The Panthers’ bad luck looked to have turned after Scott Drinkwater was sin-binned for a professional foul, but Kyle Feldt intercepted a pass to set up the Cowboys’ second try. The Cowboys seemed unfazed despite being a man down, and having a monstrous run of penalties against them, and it appeared they might hold Penrith out the entire half. But the tides finally turned, with Panthers getting across the line after Jaxson Purdue was sin binned for an ugly trip that could see him suspended.

Brad Schnieder is on top of the SuperCoach scoring at the break on 55 points, while try scorers Braidon Burns and Kyle Feldt aren’t far behind on 51 and 43 points respectively. Scott Drinkwater looked in for a big game after coming up with a try assist early, but has been set back by the sin binning, so will need to pick up.

34TH MINUTE: PANTHERS SCORE AS SECOND COWBOY SIN BINNED

The Cowboys have had a second player sin binned this half, with Jaxson Purdue marched for an ugly trip on Daine Laurie. The trip saved a near certain try from Laurie, but was missed by referees at the time, before the bunker picked up on it.

Unlike the Cowboys’ first sin bin however, the Panthers punished them immediately for their ill-discipline, with halfback Brad Schneider getting his side on the score sheet after a clever dummy.

31ST MINUTE: PANTHERS FALL AGONISINGLY SHORT

The Panthers have gone close to their first try of the night through Daine Laurie, with the fullback held up over the line after being tackled in the air by Jake Clifford.

Isaah Yeo is out there now after starting the game off the bench, and has cleary had an immediate impact on the Panthers’ attack, immediately adding some more structure and straightening everything up. You get the feeling they’ll need him out there for the rest of the game.

Chad Townsend has been put on report for a high shot, with Scott Sorenson coming off the field for a HIA.

26TH MINUTE: COWBOYS SURVIVE BINNING UNSCATHED

The Cowboys have made it through Scott Drinkwater’s trip to the sin bin without conceding any points, with the fullback now back on the field. Not only are the Cowboys holding on, but they’re well on top in fact. The Panthers went close not long after his return, with Sunia Turuva knocking the ball on over the try line.

14TH MINUTE: COWBOYS UNFAZED AS DRINKWATER SIN BINNED

The Cowboys have suffered an early blow, with star fullback Scott Drinkwater sin-binned, after staying in a tackle on James Fisher-Harris for too long, before interfering with the play the ball. He was given his marching orders with it deemed a professional foul.

Thankfully they weren’t punished immediately, with Kyle Feldt taking an intercept, almost running the length of the field before being brought down by Daine Laurie. But the Panthers proved unable to recover in time, with the Cowboys spreading for Braidon Burns to score in the opposite corner. Jake Clifford converts with Drinkwater off the field.

10TH MINUTE: THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM FOR FELDT

He was denied just minutes into the game, but Kyle Feldt didn’t have to wait long for a confirmed try tonight, diving over in the corner after a classy harbour bridge pass from Scott Drinkwater, who then converts.

Feldt is unsurprisingly on top of the SuperCoach scoring early in this game with 32 points, while Drinkwater isn’t far behind on 24.

6TH MINUTE: COWBOYS BOMB TWO

The Cowboys looked to have capitalised on the Panthers’ early mistake, with Kyle Feldt reaching out to score in the corner … but the Bunker confirmed the referee’s suspicions and denied them for an obstruction.

Minutes later they found themselves in a position to score again, with Feldt batting the ball back before it went dead, but was sadly knocked on in-goal by Viliame Vailea.

KICK OFF: PANTHERS V COWBOYS

Our second game of a packed Sunday triple header is underway, with the Panthers hosting the Cowboys. With both sides missing all their Origin stars (except Isaah Yeo) out of the game, it's a bit hard to predict this one, but I will go with Panthers, despite the fact that Paul Alomoti kicked it out on the full.

LATE MAIL IN FOR PANTHERS V COWBOYS

The Panthers have made just one change in the hour before kick-off, with Isaah Yeo shifting to the bench, with Matthew Eisenhuth starting at lock.

A host of other changes were made in the 24-hour team update, with Daine Laurie replacing Dylan Edwards at fullback, Casey McLean comes onto the wing for Brian To’o, Brad Schneider starts at halfback over Jarome Luai and Liam Henry comes into the backrow for Liam Martin.

The Cowboys have made no late changes, with all their Origin stars dropping off the extended bench in the 24-hour team update.

FULL-TIME: DRAGONS 26-6 DOLPHINS

The Dolphins run of bad luck during the Origin period has continued, suffering their fourth loss in their last five games, while losing star hooker Jeremy Marshall-King with an ankle injury. The star could be in for a stint on the sidelines after being spotted with crutches and donning a moon boot in the changerooms. They will also be sweating on the charge sheet tomorrow, with Kurt Donoghoe sent to the sin bin for an ugly swinging arm on Francis Molo. Felise Kaufusi also found himself on report.

The Dragons struggled to get on the board early and went into the halftime break trailing, but came out firing after the break, blowing the Dolphins with five second-half tries.

The win temporarily takes the Dragons into the top eight for the first time since Round 1, while the Dolphins (currently sixth) are in danger of dropping out of the eight in the coming weeks if they don’t turn things around quickly.

TOP SUPERCOACH SCORERS:

1. Jack de Belin – 90 points

2. Tyrell Sloan – 89 points

3. Jaydn Su’A – 86 points

4. Raymond Faitala-Mariner – 85 points

5. Jacob Liddle – 74 points

6. Christian Tuipolotu – 74 points

7. Max Plath – 59 points

8. Francis Molo – 57 points

9. Fanitesi Niu – 55 points

10. Euan Aitken – 54 points

Dolphins star Jeremy Marshall-King in a moon boot after suffering an ankle injury.
Dolphins star Jeremy Marshall-King in a moon boot after suffering an ankle injury.

69TH MINUTE: GETTING UGLY HERE

And just minutes after their last try, the Dragons are in again, with Jacob Liddle scooping up the ball after a Dolphins knock-on just metres away from their own try line. The Dragons hooker couldn’t believe his luck when the ball ended up right at his feet. St George Illawarra are well on top of the arm wrestle at the moment, and with the Dolphins set to be a man down for most of the remaining time, things could get really ugly here.

66TH MINUTE: DRAGONS EXTEND LEAD

It’s one way traffic here at the moment, with the Dragons playing some good footy suddenly … and reaping the rewards. The two props have united to put Jack de Belin over for his first try of the night, after a great offload from Francis Molo.

Meanwhile, Kurt Donoghoe has been sent to the sin bin after a late whack to the face on Molo after offloading the ball. The referees missed it at the time but he was given his marching orders minutes late for a “direct contact to the head with moderate force”.

59TH MINUTE: DRAGONS IN AGAIN

The Dragons have taken control of this game, with Tyrell Sloan crossing over courtesy of a pass from fill-in centre Jaydn Su’A. A brilliant scoot out of dummy half from Jacob Liddle put his side into great field position, before spreading it right for Sloan to cross over untouched. Kyle Flanagan converts his second goal of the night to put his side up by 10 points.

The try sees Sloan move to the top of the SuperCoach scoring for the afternoon with 84, while Raymond Faitala-Mariner is on 77, Tuipolotu on 64 and Jaydn Su’A on 61.

54TH MINUTE: DRAGONS SCORE, DOLPHINS DENIED

The Dragons have crossed for their second try of the night, with Christian Tuipolotu scoring in the corner after a fancy set play off the scrum from fullback Tyrell Sloan.

Just minutes earlier the Dolphins went close to their second try of the afternoon, with Connelly Lemuelu knocking on in goal, despite copping a hand to the face (and possibly a finger to the eye) from Sloan. Bit surprised there was no penalty awarded despite it being fairly light contact.

47TH MINUTE: DRAGONS HIT BACK

The Dragons have hit back, scoring their first try of the afternoon with backrower Raymond Faitala-Mariner barging over. But Kyle Flanagan pushed the conversion too far to the left and misses, so we're all locked up at 6-6.

RFM now jumps to the top of the SuperCoach scoring for the afternoon on 71, while Tesi Niu has 51, Jaydn Su’A has 42 and Jake Averillo has 41.

41ST MINUTE

And we’re back underway for the second half … lets hope for a better half of footy with some more points!

Mat Feagai is confirmed to be out of the remainder of the game with a shoulder injury.

HALF-TIME: BIG WINNERS SO FAR

We’ve reached halftime in the first game of our Sunday triple header and what a bludger of a half it was, with the Dolphins only scoring the first try of the game so far in the final minute.

Tesi Niu is atop the SuperCoach scoring at the break courtesy of that try, with the next highest point scorers on 37 points at the break.

Some sad scenes in the Dolphins changerooms, with injured hooker Jeremy Marshall-King donning a moon boot and crutches.

Top 5 performers

1. Fanitesi Niu: 50 points

2. Max Plath: 37 points

3. Jaydn Su’A: 37 points

4. Tom Eisenhuth: 35 points

5. Trai Fuller: 32 points

39TH MINUTE: DOLPHINS BREAK DROUGHT

They may have left it late, but the Dolphins are finally on the board this afternoon, scoring in the dying seconds of the first half, with Tesi Niu scoring in the corner, while Jamayne Isaako converts to go to the top of the NRL point scoring for the season.

34TH MINUTE: INJURY HITS KEEP COMING AS DRAGONS TAKE LEAD

Another injury blow here, with Dolphins five-eighth Kodi Nikorima coming off with a HIA. Meanwhile we FINALLY have some points in this game, with the Dragons converting a penalty, after Tevita Pangai Jr hit Blake Lawrie high. With Zac Lomax rested, its Kyle Flanagan stepping up to take the goalkicking duties.

In some good news for the Dragons, Jack de Belin is back on the sideline so must have passed his HIA.

30TH MINUTE: DRAGONS STAR FORCED OFF

Mat Feagai has succumbed to that shoulder injury, forced off the field after bombing a try attempt. His departure has forced a backline reshuffle, with Jaydn Su’A seemingly moving to centre, and Max Feagai moving to the wing.

The Dragons have wasted their captains challenge early here, with Blake Lawrie knocking the ball on with a loose carry, before foolishly urging Ben Hunt to fight the call.

27TH MINUTE: DRAGONS BOMB ONE

Mat Feagai has gone close to scoring the first try of the night, but may have been injured in the process after bombing it. It was originally awarded a try, before the bunker overruled after his foot went into touch, while he also dropped the ball before grounding.

Jeremy Marshall-King has suffered an ankle sprain and is confirmed to be out for the rest of the game, finishing on just 17 SuperCoach points.

Jack de Belin has also been forced off the field with a HIA.

23RD MINUTE: JMK INJURED

The Dolphins have suffered an actual injury now, with hooker Jeremy Marshall-King forced off the field with an ankle injury.

Jack de Belin is currently leading the SuperCoach scoring on 30 points, while Tom Eisenhuth and Max Plath aren’t far behind on 29 and 26 points respectively.

19TH MINUTE: STILL NO SCORE

The scores are still locked up after almost 20 minutes gone in this game, with the Dolphins having the bulk of possession so far.

We got through 12 minutes of footy before the first error of this game, with kicking out on the full.

Averillo looks to have shaken off that shoulder injury and is taking hit-ups, so seems all good, while Dragons fullback Tyrell Sloan was left on the ground after a hit-up but also managed to get back to his feet.

7TH MINUTE: DOLPHINS INJURY BLOW?

The Dolphins may have suffered an injury blow early on in this game, with Jake Averillo appearing to have picked up a shoulder blow. He is playing through it for now however.

The Dragons threatened to open the scoring in their second set after Tyrell Sloan made a clean linebreak, before a rogue offload attempt lead to a knock-on from Francis Molo.

That linebreak has Sloan on top of the SuperCoach scoring for now, with 21 points just minutes into the game

KICK-OFF

And we’re underway at Jubilee Stadium, with the Dragons kicking off to the Dolphins. Who will come out on top today? I’m tipping the Dolphins to get it done here pretty comfortably, even without the Hammer.

LATE MAIL: MASS CHANGES IN SUNDAY TRIPLE HEADER

Good afternoon all, Wilson Smith signing on for a Sunday afternoon of live SuperCoach NRL coverage. The final teams are in for the Dragons vs Dolphins match and we have a host of changes for both sides, while a host of Origin stars from the other two games are expected.

St George Illawarra have opted to rest Origin star Zac Lomax, causing a backline reshuffle with Mathew Feagai swapping sides and Christian Tuipulotu coming onto the other wing.

For the Dolphins, Felise Kaufusi makes a late switch to prop, with Kenny Bromwich moving back to the bench, while Kurt Donoghoe comes onto the bench with Ray Stone making way.

The only other change for the Dolphins was Trai Fuller coming into fullback for the injured Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, but this change was confirmed in the 24-hour team change.

Jamayne Isaako ($614,800) is the most owned player from this fixture and the fifth most traded-in player this week on the back of a 76 point performance last time out. Your SuperCoach experts have advised to air on the side of caution in bringing the Phins flyer in, but he should still provide a strong return this afternoon.

The Dolphins’ other winger Jack Bostock ($407,900) is ruled out due to concussion protocol, bringing Tesi Niu ($509,300) out to the wing.

Max Plath ($571,200) remains a solid option as a 2RF and 5/8 DP, averaging 69.7 across his last three games.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on late mail for our other Sunday games, as a host of Origin stars have either been rested or ruled out through injury.

The Panthers confirmed in their 24-hour team update that all their Origin stars would be rested except Isaah Yeo. Daine Laurie replaces Dylan Edwards at fullback, Casey McLean comes onto the wing for Brian To’o, Brad Schneider starts at halfback over Jarome Luai and Liam Henry comes into the backrow for Liam Martin. Isaah Yeo could still yet be a late withdrawal with Mavrik Geyer currently on the reserves but should be good to go given he played reduced minutes on Wednesday night.

Likewise, the Cowboys have rested all their Origin stars, but this isn’t a massive surprise given they were all originally named among the reserves, with the exception of Jeremiah Nanai who was not named in the squad at all and was always set to be rested.

For the Roosters, all their Origin stars are set to back up, with no changes to the 24-hour team update, while the Tigers are set for one late change, with John Bateman coming onto the bench in his return from injury, with Heath Mason dropping to the reserves.
