The joke’s on you if you think the Blues can’t lose

“I really like it, it’s got a bit of a rock feel to it and it’s a catchy tune that gets stuck in your head,” Finucane said.

“Hopefully all the Blues fans will get on board and sing it at the games.’’

‘We all Bleed Blue” has been launched for fans just in time for State of Origin I in Adelaide on Wednesday night.

Aiming to retain the shield and win a third consecutive series, the Blues will start favourites to beat their rivals of Queensland.

Even NSW coach Brad Fittler loosened up the vocal chords for the release of the music video that can be viewed on The Sunday Telegraph website.

The idea of the anthem, which is performed by The Star Blues Choir, is to encourage fans to show solidarity for their beloved team, NSW.

“We’re thrilled to release the ‘We All Bleed Blue’ anthem together with NSWRL, to inject a bit of fun and positivity into what has been a very tough year for everyone,’’ The Star’s Chief Marketing Officer, George Hughes said.

“This anthem allows all Blues fans to unite and shine a spotlight on the rich history of rugby league and the Blues.”

State of Origin has never been played in Adelaide and on Wednesday night the Blues meet Queensland in game on the three-game series.

The release of “We All Bleed Blue” is timed to get all NSW fans cheering - and singing for their state.

“We’re proud to have the support of over 13,000 Blatchys Blues fans, regularly taking over the northern end of ANZ Stadium kitted out in their Blue wigs,’’ NSWRL Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said.

“They’re also found in large numbers at interstate venues, such as the Adelaide Oval and Suncorp Stadium singing the ‘We all Bleed Blue’ anthem, loud and proud.’’
