A senior NRL journalist has spoken of his frustrations at being stood down from Channel 9’s 100% Footy show on Monday night at the request of Parramatta Eels star Mitchell Moses and his manager Isaac Moses.
This masthead revealed Nine Entertainment’s top rugby league reporter Michael Chammas was told he could not fill his regular spot on the show after a threat by the Moses camp to boycott the show.
Chammas is blaming the player agent, who he has not spoken to for eight years.
Nine Entertainment, which describes itself as ‘Independent Always’, bowed to the manager’s wishes and pulled Chammas off the show.
Originally when contacted, Chammas said: “I have no comment to make.”

On Wednesday on his Triple M podcast, Chammas spoke of the drama.
“This is not Mitchell, I think it was driven by Isaac,” he said.
“What annoys me is that I can see what Isaac is doing. He does it with clubs and he just tries to influence his power and control.
“There’s a long-standing history with him.
“I haven’t spoken to Isaac since Jason Taylor was sacked (in 2017 at Wests Tigers).
“Everything has got to be on his terms. He’s got his people in the media and if you’re not his mouthpiece, it’s a one-way street. If you don’t you get iced out.”
The network replaced Chammas with his colleague and veteran journalist Danny Weidler.
Nine journos are privately furious over management’s decision.
It again highlights the power of player managers in rugby league where they can make demands of this type to media organisations.
Chammas has long been a critic of Isaac Moses, the controversial and twice deregistered agent.
Channel 9 have been approached for comment by this masthead.
