The Gold Coast are reportedly about to announce it has secured the signature of Sea Eagles star Kieran Foran.
The veteran five-eighth has been in a high-profile contract squabble after it was revealed last month the Sea Eagles were being pressured into promoting Josh Schuster into Foran’s No. 6 jumper next season.

Foran has previously been linked to the Titans as a result of Manly’s salary cap squeeze.
Schuster’s management last month came out publicly and put pressure on the club to make good on an apparent promise made by the club’s former chief executive for Schuster to be granted the No. 6 jumper at the end of Foran’s current contract which expires at the end of the season.
Channel 9’s Danny Weidler has first revealed the lure of a two-year contract blew Manly’s offers out of the water.
“Expect the Titans to announce a two year deal with Kieran Foran for $750k over the two seasons,” he posted on Twitter.”
It comes just one day after Sea Eagles supremo Scott Penn vowed the club was going to do its best to make sure Foran doesn’t leave.
Penn told The Daily Telegraph: “We’re massive, massive fans of Kieran and we love having him around”.
He went on say: “I think we will do our best to keep him around. I think he is keen to stay and we are keen to keep him.
“We also have a thing called the salary cap.”
Channel 7 journalist Michelle Bishop said earlier on Friday the Titans were confident of getting Foran as a perfect mentor for the club’s emerging halves, including Toby Sexton.
Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler became cranky when asked earlier this week about Foran’s contract situation.
