The Sea Eagles have re-signed promising youngster Zac Fulton as the club continues its signing spree following the departure of former coach Des Hasler.
Fulton will stay at Manly until the end of the 2024 season having made a huge impact in limited minutes off the bench in his only appearance this year, ironically in the Pride jersey match against the Roosters that led to Hasler’s dismissal.
It comes a week after Kristie Fulton was sacked by the club, allegedly because of the jersey.
The 21-year-old earned high praise for his aggressive style and his refusal to shy away from Roosters hard man Jared Waerea-Hargreaves who went at him a number of times.
Fulton is the grandson of Sea Eagles great and Immortal Bob Fulton, while his father, Scott, also represented the club.
His decision to stay at Manly continues a big few weeks for the club who have also extended the likes of Haumole Olakau’atu, Jason Saab and Sean Keppie.
“Zac fully deserves this contract and we look forward to seeing him take his opportunities in first grade next year,’’ said Manly CEO Tony Mestrov.
“He is a very good edge runner with a high work ethic. His toughness and aggressive style of play is certainly not lost on his teammates.”
