FORMER Titans winger Tyronne Roberts-Davis has been given the chance to reignite his NRL career after signing a one-year deal with Newcastle.
Having helped Burleigh claim the Intrust Super Cup premiership in September, the 22-year-old took up a train-and-trial deal with the Knights and was rewarded with a full-time contract on Friday.

A junior player with the Kempsey Dragons on the NSW north coast, Roberts-Davis played for Gold Coast’s under-20s in 2015-16 before making seven NRL appearances across 2017-18.
Knights recruitment manager Alex McKinnon said the former Australian Schoolboys star had taken his chance in Newcastle with both hands.

“He’s a specialist winger and that’s really important in the modern game,” McKinnon said.
“He joined us for an opportunity and to his credit and the credit of the coaching staff, he’s applied himself and taken every opportunity to secure a deal. We feel he can contribute in 2020 and will really surprise a few people in the process.”
