WHILE the usual names like Jamal Fogarty, Luke Page and Blake Leary will be tossed up for higher honours following Sunday’s Intrust Super Cup grand final win, we look at five other Burleigh players who are worth a shot at the NRL.

The winger missed the decider through injury but there’s no doubt he’d be up for the challenge. Former NRL player Scott Sattler recently endorsed the 23-year-old for a start.

The 25-year-old has quickly built a reputation as a reliable and game-breaking performer. While there are plenty of quality fullbacks running around we’d love to see what a pre-season could do after his man of the match effort.

DYLAN PHYTHIAN
The five-eighth has already had a small stint in an NRL system but remains a quality asset for the Bears. At 24 he still has time on his side.

The former Titans under-20 captain enjoyed a train and trial stint with the NRL club in 2017 but at just 20 is worth another shot.
Came off the bench on Sunday and the one-time Emerging Maroons under-20s player remains a force.
HAYDEN SCHWASS
What he lacks in size he makes up for in work ethic and reliability. The 24-year-old Mudgeeraba junior doesn’t get many accolades but we can think of a few NRL teams who need more of these players.
