BRIAN KELLY

Interests away from footy

I recently bought a set of golf clubs so I’m trying to get out on the golf course a bit more. I love me water cos I’m a Ballina boy so I’m always in the water swimming. I’m playing a bit of Fortnite too at the moment.

Life after footy

When I was here (on the Coast) for under-20s I did teacher aide work in schools and I really enjoyed that. So maybe working as a youth worker in schools or something. I found that pretty interesting. Just something to get out with the kids.

Another sport you wish you could play professionally

I’d like to get into tennis but I’m definitely not at that level at the moment. I wouldn’t mind having a go at union.

BRYCE CARTWRIGHT

Interests away from footy

I’ve got a motorbike up on the go so I’ve been doing that. There’s not much else to do at the moment, we’re training a lot. I play basketball too but that’s about it. None of the boys (at the Titans) really play.

Life after footy

I haven’t, actually. I’m looking to start an exercise science course next year.

Another sport you wish you could play professionally

Definitely basketball. I follow the NBA and anywhere LeBron goes. The skill it takes (is impressive).

JAI WHITBREAD

Interests away from footy

I play a bit of golf. I’m not the greatest and I’m in a form slump at the moment. In pre-season it’s a bit hard to get up and play. Anything outdoors (is good), I like golf, swimming, I don’t mind cooking. I do a nice pesto pasta.

Life after footy

A little bit. I’m studying exercise science at Griffith. I did want to go into physio but I’m not too sure yet. Something in and around sports science I’m pretty keen on. I try and learn a bit off the strength and conditioning coaches and physios and medical staff just to get a bit of insight into what I could be doing.

Another sport you wish you could play professionally

Probably something that’s not as hard on the body. I used to play tennis when I was young so I wouldn’t mind doing that. I watch them play a fair bit.
