Curtis Scott fight video: Former NRL star banned for wild bush footy brawl

Former NRL player Curtis Scott has learned his fate at the NSWRL match review committee following his involvement in a wild bush footy brawl.

Curtis Scott has taken an early guilty plea and been banned for three matches for his bush footy punch up last weekend.

The video of the incident showed the former Raiders and Storm star reacting to an alleged eye gouge playing for Thirlmere against Narellan Jets.

Scott was sent off on a striking charge and directed to front the NSWRL match review committee.

The video shows Scott throwing wild blows before other players run in.

His Thirlmere teammate Blake Ferguson claimed on Monday morning he had been gouged.

Scott can be seen being roughed up on the ground before retaliating.

Former NRL star Bryce Gibbs backed up Ferguson’s claim, Scott was spotted in Cronulla on Monday morning with swelling around his right eye.

Scott was playing at five-eighth for Thirlmere in their 60-10 win over the Narellan Jets on Sunday.

Scott scored two tries, while fellow former NRL star Blake Ferguson scored a hat-trick and kicked eight conversions for Thirlmere.

Scott, 25, played 71 NRL matches during stints at the Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders.

In 2021 his Raiders contract was terminated over off-field issues.

Scott was convicted last year of assaulting and threatening former partner Tay-Leiha Clark.

Scott was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and stalk or intimidate with the intention of causing fear or physical harm.

Scott was sentenced to a 12-month community corrections order.
