A DECISION is likely to be made tomorrow whether Bryce Cartwright will begin his campaign for an NRL recall via the Intrust Super Cup this weekend.
Cartwright has not played since Gold Coast’s Round 12 loss to the Roosters on May 26. Despite being dropped, he is yet to play for either of the club’s feeder sides and again missed a spot in the Titans’ top 17 for this round.
His chances of being promoted from the No.18 jersey could hinge on Moeaki Fotuaika’s fitness, which will be under the microscope at the team’s captain’s run on Friday.
The teen prop has been named to face the Bulldogs despite copping a concussion at Cbus Super Stadium last Friday night.
If Cartwright is not required by the Titans, he is expected to be handed game time in the second-row for Tweed Heads.
The Seagulls host Norths Devils at Piggabeen Sports Complex on Saturday in a sixth versus seventh clash.
If for some reason Cartwright does not play this weekend, it will mean he goes more than a month between games given that both the ISC and NRL have representative round byes next up.
