Former Brisbane AFL player Mitch Robinson has spoken out against his former club on social media after he was denied entry to the changing rooms in the wake of the Lions’ elimination final win over Carlton.

In a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Robinson hit out at the Lions for denying him and his family entry into the rooms.

“Football is a fake family just remember that, I’ll never go to a Lions game again,” the post said.

According to reports, Robinson and his family were denied entry in part due to the late nature of Robinson’s request for entry, with even current players having to give multiple days’ notice in order to have family and friends in the rooms.

Brisbane has since revealed that Robinson was initially denied entry due to a lack of accreditation, but was offered a pass by the football department once it became aware he had been turned away.

However, Robinson is understood to have declined once it became clear his fellow attendees would not be allowed to enter.

The controversy comes after Robinson has also recently received media attention after taking aim at the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) who were attempting to track down his former teammate Rhys Mathieson, whose remarkable physical transformation caught the eye of the organization.

““F*** you ASADA. F*** you QAFL … don’t press his parents’ doorbell,” Robinson said.

“Something that I haven’t seen in my whole life time is target testing in f***ing local footy.”
