Melbourne and Sydney to host Australia’s matches in October’s Constellation Cup

The Diamonds will open this year’s Constellation Cup series with games in Melbourne and Sydney.

Australia’s bid to regain the Constellation Cup will be boosted by the first two games of October’s four-match series taking place on home soil.

Melbourne and Sydney will host Australia’s home matches in this year’s Cup series between the Diamonds and New Zealand’s Silver Ferns.

The 2025 edition of the Cup starts on October 17 at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena before continuing five days later at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.

The teams will then travel to New Zealand for games three and four of the series in Hamilton (October 26) and Christchurch (October 29).

Australia’s coach Stacey Marinkovich was pleased the Diamonds would have home court advantage for the first two games of the series in their bid to regain the Cup after losing 3-1 last year when the opening two matches were played in New Zealand.

“There’s nothing quite like playing in front of our home fans in Australia,” Marinkovich said.

“The energy and support we receive is unmatched, and it’s always a privilege to represent our country on home soil.

“The Constellation Cup is one of the most prestigious titles in netball, and we hope to be playing in front of sold-out crowds at John Cain Arena and Qudos Bank Arena come October.”
