Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen and his partner Kelly Piquet have announced the birth of their “greatest gift”, a daughter named Lily.
In a joint announcement on social media, the pair shared their baby news on the eve of the Miami Grand Prix.
“Welcome to the world, sweet Lily,” the pair shared on Instagram.
“Our hearts are fuller than ever – you are our greatest gift. We love you so much.”

The pair shared the message of the arrival alongside two images – one of Verstappen with Piquet holding the baby and another sweet one of Lily holding onto one her parent’s fingers.
Verstappen had missed the media day on Thursday in Miami due to the arrival.
The Red Bull star and Piquet, the daughter of three-time Formula 1 champion Nelson Piquet, announced they were expecting their first child together in December last year.
Piquet already has a daughter, Penelope, from a previous relationship.
An announcement on Verstappen’s official website said the parents were “overjoyed”
“The new parents, together with Penelope, say they are overjoyed with the arrival of Lily,” the website read.
“Lily came into the world in good health and both Kelly and daughter are doing well.”
But there is no rest for Verstappen, who is back in the F1 paddock, now as a dad.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was among those to congratulate the pair on social media.
“Welcome to the world Lily – congratulations,” Horner wrote.
Australian F1 drivers Oscar Piastri and Jack Doohan also offered their congratulations.
