NBA 2K TOURNAMENT
NORTH Gold Coast Seahawks have stepped up for the upcoming Basketball Queensland NBA 2K tournament with Adam Galle designing a court in Seahawks colours and a uniform for players to use playing online.
WARNING FOR COAST ATHLETES IN VAX DEBATE
Seahawks GM Dwayne Vale was very impressed with the look and the attention it’s grabbed already.
“Over 5000 views already from around the world is great exposure for the club, Adam’s done a great job with this,” he said.
All 2K players can sign up to the competition which is the first of it’s kind. Both Seahawks and Gold Coast Basketball will be looking to potentially host some games between the association going forward.

NEW BOARD MEMBER FOR GCBB
GOLD Coast Basketball is still moving and shaking despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The club has plans to bounce back bigger and better once the government imposed social distancing restrictions are inevitably removed and basketballers return to the floorboards.
As part of its plans, Gold Coat legal identity Mia Behlau has recently been appointed to the board of the club, who last year won Queensland’s leading community basketball association of the year award.
This week Gold Coast City Regional Basketball Association announced the appointment of Mrs Behlau, who is a partner at Gold Coast firm Stone Group Lawyers and is also the president of the Gold Coast District Law Association.

“I am very much humbled by the appointment and look forward to working with an the board and an organisation that looks after over 3600 Gold Coast basketball enthusiasts and their families,” she said.
“Once COVID-19 is over, I am sure that every local stadium and outdoor community basketball hoop will be jam-packed with kids and parents who are keen to get back to the sport they love.”
Gold Coast Basketball president Jimmy WIlliams said that the Association, which boasts one of the largest memberships in Queensland was pleased to have Mrs Behlau on board.
“Mia has been on the board of a number of significant Gold Coast boards and charities and myself and the Board look forward to working with her over the next few years. Her legal expertise and her experience will be invaluable as our juniors, seniors and representative players get back to business after the COVID-19 pandemic expires”
