AS the new Rugby League Gold Coast season prepares to kick off without its 2018 runners-up Tweed, the Bulletin looks into where members of that grand final squad will be lining up this year.

Seagulls players, both from then as well as new recruits, have been spread far and wide around the Gold Coast.

IT’S A SHAW THING IN TIGERLAND

Ultimately Tugun, Bilambil, Southport, Runaway Bay, Ormeau and Currumbin will all benefit from Tweed’s stance to act as a representative club and RLGC A-grade is set to be even stronger for it.

TWEED’S 2018 GRAND FINAL LIST: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

1. Talor Walters: Aligned with Runaway Bay but looking the goods to cement his Tweed Intrust Super Cup jersey after a promising showing in Round 1.

2. Curtis Dansey-Smaller: Signed with Melbourne and made his ISC debut for their feeder club Easts last weekend, scoring a try.

3. Kody Parsons: Dual registered with Tweed and Tugun.

4. Harrison Hughes: Was in line to play ISC for Tweed last weekend but a shoulder injury suffered at training in the lead-up could sideline him for the year if surgery is required.

5. Macauley Dawson: Has signed with Tugun.

6. Tre Williams: Has received a clearance to play in the Canberra competition.

7. Rex Johnson: Had been training for Tweed ISC but family commitments have seen him step back to the RLGC level with Bilambil.

18. Mitchell Sharp: Unknown. Believed to be living in Brisbane.

9. Shaun Carney: Retired at just 27 years of age having notched his 100th Intrust Super Cup game in the final round of the 2018 regular season.

20. Reece Summer: Has signed with Burleigh.

17. Kirk Murphy: Is shaping to build on a breakout 2018 having won players’ player in Tweed’s ISC season-opener last Sunday. Is aligned with junior club Tweed Coast Raiders.

12. Sam Saville: The ex-Seagulls ISC skipper has returned to Burleigh.

13. Josh Harvey: The inspirational workhorse, who captained this side, has rejoined his former club Tugun.

BENCH:

10. Ethan Price: Started the pre-season with Seagulls but has decided to take a year off.

14. Jordan Aiono: Was doing pre-season at Tweed but has stepped away due to work commitments.

15. Mike Gray: Dual registered with Tweed and Currumbin.
