NEW NBA RULES
Offensive rebounds – shot clock goes to 14 seconds not 24 seconds
About time, NBA. Synching to what FIBA has had in place for many years, the NBA will change the rule that encourages faster pace.
It was amazing to see NBA players previously get a full 24 seconds, where Gold Coast juniors have been playing with 14 seconds reset.
CLEAR PATH FOUL CHANGE
This has been adjusted to make it clearer to call whether someone is impending the offensive player to have a scoring opportunity in the clear court.
‘HOSTILE ACT’ RULE CHANGE
This rule just gives referees more chance to review plays and see who was involved in altercations.
HOW LEBRON INFLUENCE THE COAST
All these rules seem to be very progressive and the NBA always has the entertainment value of its brand in the forefront of its decisions. The game is getting quicker and 3-point shooting at all levels of the game is becoming paramount. The more the court is stretched out, the higher the score and the more action. Kids get out there and practise your shooting from range.
