Having moved up from the Rabbitohs system, Cordtz was a class above all in a highly competitive Rugby League Gold Coast competition. The fullback was a key element in Southport’s return to finals and was rewarded for his form with an Intrust Super Cup deal with Norths as he continues to chip away at his NRL dream.

This guy just keeps on getting better and better. Was Burleigh’s best player in their strong run to the Intrust Super Cup preliminary final. He was named the competition’s hooker of the year for a second consecutive season after topping various statistics, adding extra creativity in attack to his trademark defence and toughness.

6. Jamie Anderson (Runaway Bay)

The 2018 season was one to remember for the popular figure known as “Bubbles”. The centre captained Runaway Bay to their first Rugby League Gold Coast premiership in 13 years and was the only player from the local competition to be selected for the Queensland Rangers representative team.

5. AJ Brimson (Gold Coast Titans)

Forget Ash Taylor, all the buzz about the Titans now revolves around Brimson. He won fans over in 15 games, all played before his 20th birthday earlier this month, and particularly came to life when given a chance at fullback. The under-20 Maroons star finished the season with a courageous effort while playing with a broken hand and dislocated shoulder.
