As Robina City prepare to face a Broadbeach outfit riding a 14-game winning streak into Sunday’s Women’s Premier League grand final, captain Serena Davidson thinks she may have cracked the code.

“We’ve got some specific strategies but for the most part it’s just play our game and we know how they play their game so we’ve got to counter that … don’t give them the opportunities to do what they want to do,” the American defender, who was player of the match in last weekend’s 1-0 semi final win over Southport, said.
“I would imagine all the pressure is on Broadbeach, they’re top of the table and they’ve got this winning streak. We’re feeling really confident, we’ve got somegood teamwork going on.”

Broadbeach captain Gemma Hicks said the Dolphins were wary of a grand final ambush, despite accounting for Robina 3-0 in their last meeting on July 22.
“We are confident in our team and the way we play. We know it’s gotten us this far but we’re not complacent, we know Robina aren’t the same team we played (last time) so we need to be at our best,” the 21-year-old midfielder said.
