20. HARRIET BROWN
With a Nutri-Grain ironwoman series and world ironwoman title to her now, there isn’t much Harriet hasn’t done. She’s the current Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard race record-holder and current Australian team captain.
19. BRODIE MOIR
Winning a world and Coolangatta Gold ironwoman crown, Brodie also was a regular on the Nutri-Grain ironwoman series for over a decade.
18. LANA ROGERS
The current 2019-20 Nutri-Grain ironwoman series leader has by far had a standout season, winning every round so far this season. She has claimed the 2019 Coolangatta Gold crown and already has an Australian ironwoman crown to her name.
17. DENBY HOLMES (STOKES)
Dual winner of the Nutri-Grain ironwoman title, Denby dominated ironwoman racing in the early 90s.
16. SAMANTHA O’BRIEN
Hailing from South Maroubra SLSC, Samantha O’Brien was the first ever winner of the Australian ironwoman as well as taking out the Nutri-Grain ironwoman crown.
15. STACEY GARTRELL
A Wanda Surf Life Saving Club native, she was a 1996 Olympian one year after the Olympics went on to claim the Australian ironwoman title. Throughout her career she claimed a total of two Aussie titles.
14. GEORGIA MILLER
Georgia is one of the few athletes to have completed the “trifecta”, taking out the Coolangatta Gold, Aussie ironwoman and Nutri-Grain ironwoman titles in 2018.
13. REEN MERCER (NEE CORBETT)
One of the best board paddlers in the game, Reen won three Super Series and placed second at Aussie on three occasions
12. KRISTY MUNROE
One of the few athletes to stay with her home club for her entire career, the Alexandra Headland local claimed two world titles and one Australian championship throughout her illustrious career.
11. KIRSTY HOLMES
Dual Australian ironwoman champion, Kirsty was another familiar face on the Nutri-Grain ironwoman series alongside siblings Zane and Denby, taking third in the series in 1999.
10. KERRI THOMAS
With two Australian titles, and having represented Australia on six occasions, Kerri well and truly earned her place on this list, a well known ironwoman during the 90s.
9. REBECCA CREEDY
Dual Commonwealth Games swimmer, Rebecca made the switch to surf lifesaving aged 23 where she fast became a regular fact on the Nutri-Grain ironwoman series and took home two Australian ironwoman crown as well as three podium finishes in the Coolangatta Gold.
8. NAOMI FLOOD
Dual Olympian Naomi first made a name for herself as a leading ironwoman a regular on the Nutri-Grain ironwoman series, taking out one Nutri-Grain ironwoman title and winning the Austraian ironwoman crown.
7. HAYLEY BATEUP
Winning three Coolangatta Gold and one Aussie ironwoman titles, Hayley was a consistent contender throughout the early 2000s and one of the biggest names in the sport.
6. ALICIA MARRIOTT
Hailing from Perth, Alicia made a name for herself as a long-distance ironwoman who claimed three Coolangatta Gold titles as well as one Australian title and one Nutri-Grain ironwoman series win.
5. KRISTY CAMERON
Kristy dominated the ironwoman scene in the early 2000s, winning four Nutri-Grain ironwomen titles in a row from 2004-2007. During that time, she also took out two Aussie titles.
4. KRISTYL SMITH
Kristyl had a decorated career, representing her country on 10 occasions, achieving eight overall series podiums, one world title and two Australian ironwoman titles.
3. ELIZABETH SNELL (PLUIMERS)
Liz is one of the most successful female surf lifesavers of all time, having won three Coolangatta Gold titles, two Aussies and three Nutri-Grain series.
2. COURTNEY HANCOCK
Courtney, who counts Karla Gilbert as her inspiration, has won three Coolangatta Gold titles, two Aussies and three Nutri-Grain series. Still racing this season, she is one of the most decorated endurance athletes in surf lifesaving.
1. KARLA GILBERT
A true icon of ironwoman racing, “Queen Karla” won three Australian titles, four Super Series and four Nutri-Grain ironwoman series. She’s now a dominant force in standup paddleboarding, having claimed multiple national titles.
