PLAYERS from Palm Beach Currumbin, Nerang, Gold Coast Eagles and Bond Pirates will have the chance to enhance their representative claims as part of the Gold Coast Cyclones team to face Queensland Suburban tonight.
Twenty players from the four Coast clubs will be joined by 10 from Helensvale or Surfers Paradise in the battle against Queensland Suburban at Nerang at 6pm.
CLUB TO UNLEASH TEENAGE DEBUTANT
The game, which will follow the Gold Coast District Rugby Union Phil Temperton Cup preliminary final between the Hogs and Dolphins, will serve as a virtual selection trial for the 28-man Cyclones squad to contest the four-week Queensland Country Championships from August 24.
The loser of the Helensvale-Surfers clash will have 10 players added to the squad after the preliminary final, with those chosen to back up against Queensland Suburban.
The Cyclones, who start their state campaign against Gympie, will be co-coached by Kris Burton and Jed Hogan.
