Marymount College win Titans Schools Boys Cup, Keebra Park clinch Karyn Murphy Cup

Marymount College have completed a Titans Schools Boys Competition open boys Cup three-peat with a comprehensive 34-0 victory over Keebra Park last night at Firth Park.

MARYMOUNT College have completed a Titans Schools Boys Competition open boys Cup three-peat with a comprehensive 34-0 victory over Keebra Park on Wednesday night at Firth Park.

In a repeat of last year’s result, the Burleigh Waters-based school proved too good for Keebra, whose top players are dedicated elsewhere as part of their Allan Langer Cup program.

It’s the third time this year that Marymount have defeated Keebra; their only hiccup in six games leading into the decider was a shock 18-16 loss to Beenleigh State High back in Round 2.

Marymount’s Zane Jeffries was named player of the competition.

The result added to a big night for Marymount, who had earlier won the Year 9/10 division in a 26-24 thriller against Keebra.

On a night where Keebra also missed out in the Allan Langer Cup decider at Pizzey Park, their open girls team ensured they did not go home empty-handed.

Keebra easily accounted for Beenleigh 28-4 at Helensvale’s Robert Dalley Park to clinch the top-tier Karyn Murphy Cup.
