CRICKET Gold Coast’s Kookaburra Cup Twenty20 final has been rescheduled to December 13 after getting the green light from Metricon Stadium management.
The title decider between Southport Labrador and Alberton Ormeau was due to be played at Metricon on October 13 but was washed out.
DOLPHINS QUICK TAKING THE LYONS’ SHARE
The game was also initially going to serve as an early test for Metricon’s drop-in wicket ahead of the T20 international – the Coast’s first taste of top-level cricket - between Australia and South Africa on November 17.
However, the game will now be played on the other drop-in pitch, which is being prepared for two Brisbane Heat Big Bash League games on December 22 and January 1.
COAST CRICKETERS TURN SELECTORS
There was a chance the final would have to be moved away from Metricon following the postponement, but stadium and CGC officials have been able to find a suitable date.
The game will start at 7pm and entry is free.
