THE Gold Coast Dolphins have taken another step towards Queensland Premier Cricket’s Twenty20 semi finals after crushing Sandgate-Redcliffe in today’s battle at Deagon.
Entering the game with two wins from their first three T20s, the Dolphins chased down the hosts’ 8-138 with nine wickets and 34 balls to spare.
COUNTRY QUARTET TO FLY COAST FLAG
Openers Liam Hope-Shackley (69* off 44 balls) and Josh Kann (54 off 26 balls) put on 101 for the first wicket before Jack Cooper (15* off 16 balls) helped steer Gold coast home.
Kann’s knock was highlighted by six sixes, while Hope-Shackley hit.
Kann had earlier led the way with the ball, finishing with 3-23 from four overs.
Xavier Bartlett (2-18), Hope-Shackley, Hugo Burdon (both 1-23) and Matthew Grant were the other wicket-takers for the visitors, who will play their last two T20s on January 4 and 5.
