JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE
After the grading period finished for the under-12 and 14 representative teams, we see Gold Coast teams looking very strong.
With six teams qualifying for the top tier Premier League, seven teams in the second tier Southern Cup and five teams in the lower tiers which are automatic.
A big shout out goes to the under-14 Gold Coast Breakers boys team for making the top league. I’m a huge advocate for teams challenging themselves at a higher division rather than staying down and being a chance to medal in a lower competition.

GC SENIOR COMP
Premier league is back, with some solid games on Wednesday night.
In the men, Anthony Olah hit a massive three to win the game for the Generals over the Magic.
Olah, a former NBL development player for the Blaze, finished with 23 points.
With only a few weeks left the top three spots are locked in and it will be down to see who can step out of the mess and claim that last finals spot for the men.
For the women’s comp it’s the same with three dominant teams looking to have locked up the finals spots.
Griffith had a big win over Fortitude Black with Kayla Kiriau and Lauren Sculley performing well.
Jess Petrie was the high scorer for the night with 22 points for Captain Khaos.
