RAIN has denied the Gold Coast Dolphins a breakthrough Katherine Raymont Shield title but they will get another shot at the one-day crown next week.

EXPERIENCE DOLPHINS’ SECRET WEAPON IN FINAL
With Georgia Redmayne posting an unbeaten 116 from 118 balls, the Coast side was sitting pretty at 5-253 in the 46th over following handy contributions from Queensland Fire duo Sammy-Jo Johnson (45) and Delissa Kimmince (40 retired not out).
But play never resumed, leaving the two sides to face off again at Graceville’s Memorial Park next Sunday.
“It’s disappointing. We had placed ourselves well,” coach Garry Lovett said.
