RAIN, a middle-order wobble and a revised Duckworth-Lewis target could not stop Gold Coast from returning to the Katherine Raymont Shield winners’ circle against Ipswich-Logan today.
Sent into the field at Amberley’s Baxter Oval, the Dolphins had the hosts 8-193 after 45 overs when rain hit.
After a brief delay, Gold Coast needed just four balls to claim the last two wickets with the score still on 193.

A reduction in overs then left Gold Coast with a victory target of 160 from 45 overs.
Dolphins captain Belinda McDougall did the bulk of the damage to claim 5-41, while Eliza Flynn finished with 4-20.
In reply, the visitors stumbled to 4-76 in the 21st over before McDougall (48) and Chelsea Gan (28 not out) put together a 76-run stand.
Opener Rebecca van Helvoirt also made 37 as the Dolphins reached 5-160 with 3.4 overs to spare.
