THE Gold Coast Dolphins have pulled off another major coaching coup, with former Test star Scott Muller to take the reins of the premiership-winning Lord’s Taverners side next season.
A week after Dolphins Hall of Famer Chris Swan was unveiled as the club’s men’s head coach, the Bulletin can reveal Muller will replace the former Queensland quick at the helm of the Taverners outfit.
SWAN READY TO DIVE INTO DOLPHINS ROLE
Swan steered the next generation of Dolphins to Queensland Cricket’s under-17 crown last season but has been forced to relinquish the post to take on his new role.
Former fast bowler Muller played two Tests for Australia in 1999 amid a 30-game first class career that yielded 102 wickets at 23.5.
DOLPHINS TRIO BOUND FOR ENGLAND
The 47-year-old has previously served as an assistant coach at the Dolphins and helped out sporadically last season.
The club will hold Taverners trials in August before the start of the season in September.
