Jacqueline Luna-Castro
Castro comes to the Gold Coast from Greece where she’s been placing for Esperides in the Greek league. She’s brought a lot of size and versatility to a reasonably small Rollers line up and leads the scoring two games in.
Spencer Parker
The American import earnt player of the game honours in the Rollers round one win against the Spartans with 31 points, six rebounds and two assists. He built magnificently on his other round one game where he scored 14 points, five rebounds and three assists. Coach Conlon labelled his imports the “best in the league,” and they’re quickly proving why.
Siarn Woods
Rollers coach Cassie Dover predicted pre-season that Woods would play off the bench this year with the Rollers building a deep roster. Woods has quickly put that talk to bed, playing 62 minutes across the opening two games and scoring 21 points. Her aggressive game has been on display early, recording three fouls in the season opener and four in the second game.
Rhys Martin
The veteran did a lot of grunt work early to get the Rollers an early lead. The former NBL Illawarra Hawk showed his class and finished with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Susannah Walmsley
The 29-year-old comes to the Gold Coast from the WNBL after playing 44 matches for the Sydney Uni Flames across the past two seasons. Her experience showed and she impressed with her ability to get points on the board.
