IN the latest edition of the Bulletin football podcast, title-winning coach Dave Benigno talks about his new role at Nerang, expectations for the 2019 Premier League and who else may be on the club’s radar.
Despite bringing Acim Tomic, Tolga Yorulmaz and Tim Jackson to the club, Benigno he was putting no pressure on his troops to deliver instant success next season.
“I’d like to win the thing (but) I don’t believe I will in my first year and that’s being honest,” he said.
“I’d like to at least reach the top four and I’ll be happy with that in my first year at Nerang. My appointment was three to five years so it’s something that we’ll just build on. At Surfers it took me five years to build.”
