BEARS WIN INTRUST SUPER CUP GRAND FINAL
PLAYER RATINGS
1. Kurtis Rowe - 9
Came into his own as the game went on and looked dangerous with every touch.
2. Tyrone Roberts-Davis - 7
A mixed day for the flyer, who made an early break, scored the Bears’ first try and opened the door for Wynnum when he fumbled a grubber to allow Sam Scarlett to cross.
3. Sami Sauiluma – 7
Exposed in defence a couple of times early but was always a handful in attack.
4. Josh Berkers – 6.5
A quiet day for the grand final debutant, whose highlight was a bone-rattling hit early in the game.
5. Anthony Don - 7
Ever reliable, the Titans veteran was strong in attack and solid in defence.
6. Dylan Phythian – 6.5
Not quite the man-of-the-match performance from the preliminary final but did his job in the biggest game of the season.
7. Jamal Fogarty – 8.5
Used his individual brilliance to set up Kurtis Rowe’s first-half try and steered the ship superbly.
8. Luke Page (c) - 8
Ran with his trademark aggression and led the way as skipper.
9. Pat Politoni – 8
Arguably Burleigh’s most influential player, the classy rake was at the heart of the Bears’ best moments and sealed the premiership with the matchwinning try.
10. Jack Buchanan – 7
Another workmanlike performance from the former Wests Tigers star.
11. Hayden Schwass - 7
Typically busy but made a crucial error shortly before halftime with the Bears in prime attacking territory.
12. Blake Leary – 8
A workhorse on the left edge, the 28-year-old showed his NRL experience to do the tough stuff when his team needed it.
13. Sam Coster – 6.5
Did the clean-up work as usual in another tireless performance.
INTERCHANGE
14. Matt Robinson – 5
Rarely sighted in limited minutes.
15. Josh Rogers - 6
Took on some of the kicking duties when he came on and was generally solid.
16. Oliver Percy - 6
Lost the ball in a one-on-one strip with his first touch that led directly to Wynnum’s first try, but did his job.
17. Apiata Noema-matenga 5
Another who made little impact in limited game time.
