White, vice chairman at FGC, also weighed in on the cash splash among Premier League clubs, saying the club would not enter a bidding war for players.

“Would we aim for the purse strings again? Probably not. I don’t think it’s conducive to anything good. It’s the Gold Coast merry-go-round, isn’t it?,” White said.
