IN the latest edition of the Round Ball Round Up podcast, Gold Coast Knights captain Andrew Barisic talks about the club’s looming NPL debut, the highs and lows of his career, Gold Coast United’s A-League hopes and more.
Plagued by an ankle injury during the Knights’ run to a first Premier League double this year, the 32-year-old admitted it had been a difficult season.
“For me, last season was a struggle to get through,” the former Gold Coast United striker said.
“I try and hit goals and targets every year and that was probably the frustrating thing with my injury (this) year. The injury set me back quite a bit … last season I was playing at about 40-50 per cent.
“I still did well … but not where I should be.”
