IN the latest edition of the Round Ball Round Up podcast, Football Gold Coast general manager Damien Bresic talks about the future of the Premier League, the state of female football, possible board changes and more.
With next year’s eight-team Premier League the subject of much debate, Bresic said the FGC board was still considering the competition’s long-term structure.
“We had a board meeting a week or so ago and it was discussed at length,” he said.
“There is a proposal on the table moving forward. 2019 has been set out with the eight-team comp and we have got 11 in the Coast League, which is good to see.
“Moving forward, we need to change that. I think 2019 needs to be almost a recon year … but there are things in place moving forward.”
