Held to a 2-2 draw against Tweed United in Round 1, the Dolphins spent a week on the sidelines as rain forced the postponement of their battle with fellow heavyweights Burleigh Heads last Friday night.

They will return home at 5pm on Saturday to face a Nerang side tipped by many to be the big improvers this season under new coach Dave Benigno, and Robinson said the fixture could prove decisive at the back end of the year.

“(I’m expecting a) really good battle. Benigno’s obviously got the cash, he’s signed quite a few good players so they will be right up there challenging in the top spots for sure,” the 31-year-old, joint winner of the Premier League’s Player of the Year in 2018, said.

“We were looking at the next two games – we got washed out last week – but Burleigh and Nerang (as the games that) could define the season because I think they’re two of the top teams that could be right up there with us.

“These are the games that are massive. It’s a six-point game really so these are the ones you definitely want to win. I think (Dave will) always get them raring to go and it’s 50-50 really, anyone can win this week.”
