A FIVE-game unbeaten start to life in the Brisbane Women’s Premier League has left Broadbeach United believing they can carry on to claim this year’s crown.
Having picked up three wins and a draw from their first four games, the Dolphins flexed their BWPL muscle again on Saturday with a 5-0 thrashing of North Brisbane at a rain-soaked Prentice Park.
Jade Bianchetti, Dani Inglis, Rose Argent, Jodie Prince and captain Gemma Hicks were the goalscorers for the visitors, who remain hopeful of replicating their undefeated run to the 2018 Gold Coast title double.

“That’s definitely where we’re aiming for,” midfielder Hicks said.
“We played really well. We could’ve played a little bit more structured but the field didn’t let us play the way we wanted.
“(At the start of the season) we were a little bit like ‘can we back it up after winning last year? And we’ve proven to ourselves that we are as good as we were last year and can do it again.
“We’re really focusing on fitness and how are we going to get better? We’re not worried about what other teams are doing.”
