The top four has been set and the finals have been locked in for the Cricket Gold Coasts T20 competition.
Helensvale and Mudgeeraba went through the six round competition undefeated with Mudgeeraba scoring the most runs and took the most wickets for the competition.
Round five and six were completed on Sunday with both the best teams making light work of their run chases.
Below is some of the outstanding performances from the final two rounds.
Reece Neyland
Alberton
Round 5, 58* from 47 balls against Coomera Hope Island.
Coming in at 2/38, Neyland settled in to make sure Alberton didn’t have a middle order collapse and instead built a 81 run stand with the number three.
With a strike rate of 123.4, Neyland sent the ball to the boundary six times to bring up a defence score of 4/136 from their 20 overs.
Nathan Ford
Alberton
Round 5, 4/9 from 3 overs against Coomera Hope Island.
In the same game that had Neyland set a competitive total, Ford ripped through the middle and lower order of Coomera, leaving them with not much hope to make finals.
Ford’s first wicket came from just his second ball, before taking two in his third and the last wicket of the game in just the 14th over.
Cody Durante
Palm Beach
Round 6, 70 from 33 against Mudgeeraba.
Durante looked set for a massive day of cricket for Palm Beach as he demolished Mudgeeraba’s bowlers in the final game of the regular season.
Going at a strike rate of more than 212, Durante smashed seven 4’s and six 6’s in his innings to lead his team to 10/152.
Unfortunately his side didn’t get the win, with Mudgeeraba’s batting line up too strong, chasing the score down to win by seven wickets.
Dhanushka Mitipolaarachchi
Southport
Round 6, 4/11 from 4 overs against Queens
In the final round, Queens needed to win to make finals with Southport needing to win to secure third spot.
Mitipolaarachchi was the man to help get Southport home with a brilliant bowling display to rip through the middle order.
Southport went onto win by six wickets and will now take on Mudgeeraba in week one of the finals.
Joel Harrison
Runaway Bay
Round 6, 63* from 37 balls against Coomera Hope Island
In a similar position to Queens, Runaway Bay needed a win to secure a top four spot heading into the final round.
In-form bat Joel Harrison had those exact plans in mind when he smashed his 63 which included seven 4’s and four 6’s.
He helped chase down the low target of 109 in just the 12th over to have his side finish fourth and will now take on Helensvale in the first week of finals.
Finals for the T20 competition begin on Sunday October 15 with the two winners of both semi finals playing off in the grand final on Saturday October 28.
Mudgeeraba and Helensvale dominate Gold Coast T20 Cup
Week two ramped up the Gold Coast cricket season as the ladder starts to take shape after rounds three and four were played on Sunday.
Helensvale and Mudgeeraba Nerang & Districts both remain undefeated after the first four rounds with then teams three to seven, deadlocked on two wins each.
While Surfers Paradise and Gold Coast Dolphins are still chasing their first win with two rounds to go before the T20 finals.
We take a look at some of the stand outs from the second weekend of the season.

Mudgeeraba Nerang & Districts
Round 3, 114 from 53 against Broadbeach Robina.
The first hundred of the competition goes Mudgeeraba’s number three, with Grant going at a strike rate of 215 per cent.
It was an incredible innings for Grant who smashed 12x 4’s along with 6x to take him to the leading run scorer after the first four rounds with 186.
Grant helped Mudgeeraba reach 6/216 from their 20 overs to win comfortably by 115 runs.
Joel Harrison
Runaway Bay
Round 3, 75 from 50 against Alberton
Harrison was building to a decent score in the first two rounds of the season, with a 23 and 31 respectively.
Runaway’s opening bat smashed 10 x 4’s and 2 x 5’s in his first 50 of the season to build a competitive score.
Shaun Snyder
Helensvale Cricket Club
Round 4, 84 from 57 against Burleigh Bullsharks.
Snyder put on a clinic in Sunday’s round four clash with Burleigh, sent the ball to all areas of the park.
The highlight came in the 17th over when Snyder smashed 23 of the 24 runs from the over, including three sixes in a row to finish the over.
The number four gun helped his side to their fourth win in four games to sit equal on top of the table.
Max Houlahan
Queens Cricket Club
Round 4, 77 from 36 against Gold Coast Dophins.
Smashing his first 50 of the tournament and combining with his opening bat for a 103 run partnership, Houlahan led from the front for Queens Cricket Club to build a defensive total against Gold Coast Dolphins.
Houlahan, who is Queens skipper, sent the leather to all regions of the park, including six over the fence.
Lydon Gibbons
Mudgeeraba Nerang & Districts
Round 4, 51* from 35 against Coomera Hope Island
Coming in at 4/56, Gibbons needed to spend some time at the crease to help keep Mudgeeraba undefeated.
It didn’t go to plan straight away as they lost another two quick wickets, leaving them 6/62.
But a 88 run partnership with Adam Rogers built a defendable total of 6/150.
Dramatic end to round one of Gold Coast crickets first grade T20 Cup
The footy codes draw near to the end of their incredible seasons and players now start to swap the jerseys for willow and leather as Gold Coast’s cricket seasons begin.
Saturday was the opening day of the All Ballsports T20 Cup for the Gold Coast Seniors competition.
There was plenty of big hitting, eight players passed the 50 mark during the double header rounds on Saturday.
We took a look at some of the stand outs for the first weekend of the season.
James Kleinschmidt
Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club
Round 2, 66 from 39 balls against Palm Beach.
After two rounds, Kleinschmidt is the leading run scorer with a solid 34 in game one, followed up with a cracking 66 in round two.
Smashing the ball all around the field, Kleinschmidt sent the ball over the rope four times in his 66, plus also seven boundaries.
Jack Lickiss
Helensvale-Pacific Pines Cricket Club
Round 2, 84 from 52 balls against Surfers Paradise.
Didn’t have the greatest start to the season Lickiss, getting caught for eight in the first game of the season.
But it was his dominant display in the round two which has everyone talking of the number three for Helensvale.
Lickiss smashed four 6’s and 10 4’s on his way to an incredible 84 from 52 to help his side to back-to-back wins on Saturday.
Jared Spies
Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club
Round 2, 54* from 44 balls against Palm Beach.
Captain Jared Spies has had an incredible start to the T20 season which has included him yet to be dismissed in both games on Saturday.
Just over a run a ball 37 not out from 31 in game one against Broadbeach, Spies backed it up with a brilliant 54 not out against Palm Beach to put together a 83 run partnership with opening batsmen James Kleinschmidt.
Michael Narracot
Runaway Bay Cricket Club
Round 2, 73* from 43 balls against Broadbeach Robina
A golden duck in round one for Narracot, not the start he would have been looking for to start the season off.
But bouncing back to form in the best possible way, Narracot smashed the kookaburra to all parts of the ground on Saturday afternoon, dominating his way to a 73 not out, helping the Bay reach 3/202 in round two.
Joel Smith
Southport Labrador Cricket Club
Round 2, 55 from 46 balls against Gold Coast Dolphins.
Smith looked like he was going to start the season brilliantly as he was going at almost a run a ball 16 from 18 balls in game one before he was caught.
It was his second game where he found his form, but was run out on 55, helping his side to a comfortable 19 run win.
Michael Daffy
Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club
Round 1, 6/17 from 3.5 overs against Broadbeach Robina.
With a total of 155 to defend, Broadbeach were in the box seat at 4/82 before Daffy came on a destroyed the middle and lower order.
Daffy took the final six wickets of the game to claim figures of 6/17 which included being on a hat trick twice.
He took two wickets in the first two balls of his second over, before Jackson Robson came out to face the hat trick ball, working it for a single.
It brought Steven Timms on strike, who kept out the fourth ball of the over, only to get dismissed the very next ball, giving Daffy his third wicket in five balls.
