Marymount has continued its run to a second-straight Titans Schools League premiership with a season-defining win over Marsden State High.

In a clash that included some bone-rattling hits and sizzling speed, it was Marymount’s middle that stood tall to hold on for an 18-4 victory.

Marsden did not stop trying, ramping up the physicality in the final 10 minutes as the desperation began to set in.

But Marymount kept their cool under the intense pressure and gritted their teeth to get through with a strong victory.

PREVIEW: Familiar face takes the reins at proud high school

As they seek to defend their Titans Schools League crown, Marymount College will embark on their end of season run with an old coach returning to the helm.

Melbourne Storm legend and Currumbin Eagles mentor Matt Geyer has previously spearheaded the school's Year 11/12 division one side.

However his new commitments as the Titans’ NRLW assistant coach, working under Jillaroos legend Karyn Murphy, has led to Jason Hamilton taking the reigns once again.

Hamilton had mentored the Marymount top side since 2008 before Geyer took over this year, and with more than 30 years of experience under his belt will come well equipped to keep the outfit on track.

Marymount will take on Marsden State High School today from 6.30pm — to be livestreamed here at the Gold Coast Bulletin. The college’s Year 9/10 team will play at 5.30pm, which can also be watched live here.
