The pointy end of the Football Gold Coast season has arrived, and The Bulletin is livestreaming the Premier League grand final.
The grand final replay will be held on Saturday, a week after the first game was abandoned due to a shocking injury to Palm Beach player Heath Finnigan.
Ahead of the big day, we’ve run the rule over the regular season and finals so far to pick out 10 players who will make or break their respective side’s chances at post-season silverware in the Premier League and Premier League Reserves competitions.
Here are the players to watch.
First Grade
Josh Mussell (Palm Beach)
The left back has had another stellar season this year and will be looking to replicate his
form from previous games come Saturday’s final.
Harry Liebke (Palm Beach)
Injury concerns in the previous weeks have put a dampener on an otherwise fantastic
season for the holding midfielder who leads the team as captain and in the engine room.
Shingo Miyamori (Palm Beach)
The Japanese winger has been a fantastic signing for the Sharks in 2021 and will look to
continue his goal scoring form this weekend.
Morgan Saunders (Southport)
Having led his side at the front both on and off the field another Grand Final appearance
and possible win for the striker will be another chip on his shoulders.
Ferdinand Annor (Southport)
A 1B for the Warriors this season, Annor will be looking to push his side over the line by
netting some goals against a tough backline in the final.
Andrew Ridden (Southport)
The quiet achiever this season at the back, Ridden’s presence and ability to read the game
will be integral to the success that the Warriors have throughout the game.
