In the first big upset of the tournament, NSW Metro White have taken down the star-studded Victoria Blue 3-0 in the Under-16s at the FA National Youth Championships.

NSW got on the scoreboard early with a penalty expertly converted by Cruz Martino before a brilliant goal from Harper Ryles doubled the lead.

Victoria had the opportunity to get one back just before the break after Salm Palermo conceded a penalty, but it was spectacularly saved by keeper Cooper Rogers.

It somehow got worse for Victoria, with Jacob Greco recording an unfortunate own goal following a miscommunication with the keeper.

Luke Becvinoski has landed at the championships in Wollongong with a bang.

The Melbourne City junior put four goals past NSW Metro White as part of five brilliant goals from the under-15 defending champions, Victoria Blue.

Oliver Dimovski was the only other goal scorer in the match, with keeper Luca Thomas securing his first clean sheet of the tournament.
