HOW TO WATCH

KommunityTV will run every court’s live stream in an individual story on each day of the tournament. That means six fresh stories each day of the championships.

The links for those stories will appear above.

The replays from that court will then be added to the same story link at the end of each day’s play.

WHICH CLUBS ARE IN ACTION?

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

The Under-14s Club Championships is the first step on a long national development pathway for a lot of the nation’s best young ballers.

For the players it is the first taste of tournament action on the big stage.

But don’t let that fool you into thinking these kids will be overawed.

Each player, and every team, has earned the right to be at the tournament after finishing among the top clubs in their state-based competitions.

Each state’s top club has been separated across the pools in the early stages of the tournament to promote exciting action every direction you look.

In the boys side of the tournament Casey Cavaliers will lead the charge for Victoria, South West Metro Pirates for Queensland, Northern Tigers out of Tasmania, Willetton Tigers from WA, South Adelaide Panthers from SA and Norths Bears out of NSW.

The race for the boys title has been blown wide open after last year’s champions Dandenong Rangers failed to qualify in the top six sides from Victoria.

Instead it will be the Knox Raiders, Bulleen Boomers, Maffra Eagles, Keilor Thunder and Camberwell Dragons flying the Victorian flag beside the Cavaliers.

It is a similar story in the Under-14 girls tournament with reigning national champions Illawarra Hawks not qualifying for the national event.

Central Coast Rebels will enter the tournament as the top seed from NSW while South Adelaide Panthers (SA), Willetton Tigers (WA), Northern Tigers (Tasmania), Logan Thunder (Queensland) and Kilsyth Cobras (Victoria) will all lead their respective states into battle.

The Casey Cavaliers are expected to provide plenty of fight for the tournament as they aim to defend their home courts.

The Cavaliers boys, who play Knox in the VJBL Championship grand final on Friday, have been undeniable this season winning all nine of their games, while the girls side finished their VJBL Championship season as semi-finalists with a 4-4-1 record.
