Johnny Manziel credits new girlfriend for comeback inspiration

THE intervention of an Instagram model has rescued the NFL’s biggest basket case from running away to a troubling fate.

JOHNNY Manziel wants the world to know why he is a changed man.

The infamous NFL flameout, who is currently staging a comeback attempt, recently took to Instagram to gush about Bre Tiesi, his gal pal of three months.

“Without you there is no ComebackSZN @bre_tiesi,” Manziel wrote last week, before sharing a few shots of his trip to the San Diego Zoo with the former “Wild ‘n Out” beauty.

NFL Network reports Manziel, 24, is drawing “real interest” from teams, despite missing the entire 2016 season. He was cut by the Cleveland Browns last year amid a slew of off-field infractions and alleged (now admitted) substance abuse.

In the most serious incident, Manziel was accused of striking ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley.

Manziel could face a suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy stemming from his indictment in that case last May.

The domestic violence charges will be dismissed should Manziel adhere to a set of conditions, which include completing an anger management course and a substance abuse program.

Manziel re-signed last week with former agent Erik Burkhardt. Still, it would be a shock if any team signed him anytime soon. NFL free agency kicks off on Thursday.

A Heisman Trophy winner and former first-round draft pick, the Texas A&M product has been perfecting his game again with the assistance of quarterback coach George Whitfield Jr., who worked with Manziel in college.

There are still more hurdles in his way from making a comeback, The New York Post reports.

First, Manziel may be subject to an NFL suspension under the substance abuse protocols or the personal conduct policy stemming from his 2016 indictment on charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

He was in court in Dallas on Tuesday to update a judge on his progress following the conditions of a deal to get those charges dismissed — which includes completing a substance-abuse program and an anger management course.

“Everything has been going extremely smoothly and my life is trending upward,” Manziel said, according to the Dallas Morning News, “so I don’t even want to let this get anywhere near the rabbit hole that you were describing.”

“I want to play football,” Manziel said as he left the courthouse.
